Gomez renamed his revolver “The Coroner’s Pistol” and used it to protect law enforcement officers from bandits and criminals alike. The weapon remained in Gomez’ possession until he died in 1988 at the age of 91 years old. At that point, The Coroner's Pistol was accepted as one of Santa Clarita's favorite Guns - until recently!
