SANGER CULTURAL CENTER John Drysdale felt that he needed to find a new purpose for his life when he left Southern California to start farming near Echo Valley 50 years ago – but nothing came close to what he had in mind when he decided to found his own town called Echo Valley fifty miles northeast of Sacramento called “Echo Valley” itself only one day after coming across some old gold bars while prospecting himself during his first trip through this area back then! So began John Drysdale’s great journey from southern Californian ranch boy into one man who started building America’s first commercial steamboat terminal just east off today’s busy US 101 freeway corridor about 10 miles northwest/southwest from downtown…It was here that Drysdale built not only America’s very first inland seaplane airport circa 1915 which later became known as Yosemite Airport but also America’s very first electric railroad depot served by locomotives hauled mainly by steamboats until this service finally ended all those years ago along with other associated railroad facilities now being used mostly for housing developments…..the once bustling center where all manner OF things took place both day AND night until it gradually petered out over time due largely to lackadaisical decision making & management skills among those involved leading eventually right up until today’s days with practically NOONE remaining who could even recall (& still can barely speak) exactly how it all got started back then….it should be noted tho that if you walked inside today least ONE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPER FROM THAT AREA DID VISIT HERE IN THE EARLY 1960′S TO SEE JUST HOW MUCH HAS CHANGED OVER TIMEFROM THEN TO NOW AS ALL THESE LOCATIONS HAVE THEIR OWN OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PAGE ON FACEBOOK OR TWITTER @SANGERCITYOFSAGER

Sanger was founded in 1879 by Charles Sanger, a Danish immigrant. The town located in the Mojave Desert was named after him and he donated land for a irrigation canal. In 1902, Sanger moved his headquarters to Pasadena and changed its name to Pasadena City Hall. The city's first mayor was J.B. Pritzker.
