Gun magazines have been a part of American culture for over a century. Magazine companies have come and gone, but the tradition of buying and carrying ammunition continues. In San Ramon, California, there are three gun magazines that continue to sell ammunition. The two oldest magazine companies in the city- Pfeil & Sohn and Browning- are still in business today. These companies were both founded in 1892. The third company is called Midway Firearms and it was started in 1954. Midway Firearms has been around for over 50 years now! They continue to sell Ammunition, Reloading Supplies, as well as Gun Parts and Accessories. The history of gun magazines goes back even further than that. The first magazine company to be established in San Ramon was Pfeil & Sohn- which was founded by Paul Pfeil and Wilhelm Sohn in 1892. Their goal was to provide customers with high quality ammo at an affordable price point while also maintaining a good customer service experience. In addition to selling ammunition, they also manufactured firearms parts and accessories until 1935 when they merged with Browning Armory Company Limited (BA). Browning became the marketing arm for Midway Firearms while BA continued to manufacture firearms parts and accessories until 1990 when it merged with Remington Arms Company Incorporated (RAM). At RAM, browning took on a more dominant role due to their patents held on many of their products including the ejector rod system used on shotguns (which later became known as the Hammer System). RAM continued manufacturing ammunition until 2003 when they merged into Cor Talbot Ammunition Corporation (CAT). CAT continued manufacturing Ammunition until 2007 when they announced plans to close all their facilities throughout the USA due to financial problems caused by the Great Recession. However, CAT decided not to close any plants before filing for bankruptcyvisionary operations will continue at some locations across America outside of Cat's control

San Ramon (/sɑːn ˈræmɔn/ is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 79,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The first European to visit San Ramon was Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo onNovember 16, 1542. A Mission Santa Clara de Asís was founded in 1777 by Franciscan missionaries under the leadership of Father Junípero Serra and soon became an important cultural center in Northern California. In 1814, Alvarado granted Rancho San Ramon to José Joaquín Murrieta and his brother Manuel Murrieta. The rancho extended from what is now downtown San Ramon north to Menlo Park and east to Hercules Boulevard (now Interstate 680). The brothers began building what are today some of the most recognizable landmark buildings in town: The Presidio and Cathedral (now called Missions Concepcion and La Purísima), as well as their homey Hospital de la Reina ("Queen's Hospital"). In 1846, when American troops marched through Contra Costa County on their way to victory over Mexican forces at Alma Mater Hill, they found an abandoned gold mine near present-day Livermore. Commodore George Scott visited the site on July 28 that year while exploring southern California for a new route across the Isthmus of Panama. After finding no gold or other minerals at Alma Mater Hill he decided not pursue his claim but returned home with plans to open a road along Appian Way in order to avoid possible Indian attacks emanating from Mexico City via this area
There has been a long and varied history of magazines in the firearms industry. From the early days of pistols, rifles and shotguns to modern times, there have been various types and sizes of magazine available for use with these devices. One of the earliest magazines was the Henry rifle magazine which was patented in 1836. The magazine consisted of a holdingbox that held rounds along one edge, while an opposite edge held the breechblock. This Magazine later became known as the Winchester rifle magazine and enjoyed considerable success through its many years of production. The first pistol cartridge to be fired from a gun was shot from aHenry Rifle magazine on July 20th, 1848 by Major John Browning during his famous Raid on Harper’s Ferry. Pistol cartridges were then loaded into Henry Rifle magazines for further firing until eventually they were ready to be reloaded into pistols. In 1865, John Browning designed and developed the Hi-power pistol which featured an internal revolving case that could hold up to 12 rounds per clip instead of the traditional 6 or 8 rounds found in other handguns at this time. Soon after release, Hi-power pistols began seeing widespread usage throughout America due to their efficient fire rates and high damage potential when used against large game animals such as deer or hogs. By 1903, all handgun manufacturers had introduced several types of shotgun shells (shell cases) with different propellant charges in order to provide better performance against larger game than those offered previously with pistol cartridges only capable of hitting small birds or rodents at distances beyond 100 yards without fear thereof (the so called “shotgun hunting” practice). With increasing mass production coming about in these new types shell cases being produced by various companies across North America it soon became necessary for shooters to purchase additional magazines specifically designed for Shotguns both fresh out of factory packaging as well as older models that had not yet been completed/reloaded into service; something known colloquially as “gun cleaning” magazines since most Shotguns possessed some form eitherinternal or external cleaning/ lubrication mechanism(s)). In fact almost every newly manufactured shotgun made today features either an internally fitted cleaning rod/tool (known popularly among ShotgunUsers simply as a “rod box”),or some typeof external storage container provided specifically for this purpose such as trouser pockets on civilian clothing etc.).

The city of San Ramon, California was founded in 1849 by Juan Bautista Alvarado and his wife, Mariana. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the southern edge of a newly opened land grant (the Rancho San Ramon) that had been given to Juan Bautista by Governor Páez. The first post office was established in 1851, and the first store was built in 1850. In 1858, San Ramon became a city with a population of fifty-six people. On December 20, 1861, the City Council adopted an ordinance creating sanitary districts for all of Contra Costa County. By 1870, the population had grown to one thousand seven hundred people. In 1907 the city located its first fire hall and library within downtownSan Ramon limits. In 1906, during the City Council’s consideration of annexing neighboring towns of Hercules and Concordia Valley into San Ramon proper, Mayor Jack Wills proposed annexing also El Sobrante village which then consisted only of two homes and ten acres (four hectares). After much debate among councilmembers about whether annexation would be beneficial for either municipality or for both cities combined – as well as other concerns about possible annexation abuses – Wills prevailed over his opponents and annexed El Sobrante into San Ramon on November 15th 1906. At this point there were 1,500 residents living in El Sobrante Village but only 550 residents living in SanRamón proper; total population size now stands at six thousand five hundred ninety-six people. During World War II San Ramon played an important role as a major munitions production center due to its location between Menlo Park and Palo Alto on I-280/ Highway 101 corridor essential for shipment from those centers to Nazi Germany through what is now Silicon Valley before being transported across Stanislaus County towards Sacramento where they were used for arms manufacturing purposes Finally after 1945 URBAN SAN RAMON transitioned from being primarily industrial to becoming one of Northern California's most diverse municipalities hosting many IT companies such as Sun Microsystems Silicon Valley Inc., Adobe Systems Incorporatedorporatedorporated (formerly Creative Artists Agency), Apple Inc., Google LLC., Facebook Incorporation along with nearly seventy organizations related thereto engaged in various types of businesses including technology startups furniture retailers Home Depot Corporation (until 2011), Costco Wholesale corporation while still anchored around Town Hall Plaza Financial District finally achieving City status on July 1st 2003 becoming “Municipality Of The Year” by virtue thereof while retaining their own governing body consisting of four members elected at large plus Mayor who served concurrent terms until her resignation effective January 1st 2009 making way for Mark Lenora Brown who took officeJanuary 1st 2009 until his removal effective February 13th 2013 effective against former State Controller John Chiang .
The town of San Ramon, California was founded in 1849 by Ezra Stiles. The first post office in the town was established in 1850. In 1854, the town became a county seat and remained so until 1865.
