Scope mounts are a type of mount used for rifles, shotguns and pistols. Scope mounts come in many different styles and sizes to fit your specific firearm. Some of the most popular firearms that use scope mounts include shotguns, handguns, and rifle. Scope mounts are often necessary when buying a new firearm as they can greatly affect the accuracy of the weapon. There were several different types of scope mounts before World War II when guns were primarily designed for hunting or target shooting. After World War II, there was a large focus on handgun shootings which led to the development of scope mounts for handguns. Shotguns began to be developed with Scope Mounts in mind, so after the war some shotgun designs came with built-in Scope Mounts that allowed you to attach an optics device such as a PST or Schmidt & Bender spotting scope using existing screws on the gun’s barrel (or by using a separate mount). The popularity of handguns has lead to more development ofscope mounts specifically for them after 1945; this time around we have scopes available in both open source and commercial models. Scope Mount History: The first type of scope mount was called an “open sights” mount which would work with any Weaver style iron sight set-up including close up optics like PSTs or Schmidt & Bender spotterscopes. This type of mounting system required that you remove the rear sight housing from your rifle which made it difficult to adjust tight rounds on moving targets at distance without fouling up your original sights/optics combo. It wasn't until 1918 when US Army colonel John Brownell patented his design for what is now known as an "open sights"onetree mount Rifle but this version included no front sight and relied instead on indirect vision from behind either a telescope or binocular! This mounted rifle could then be fired from just about anywhere due to its close range capabilities! In 1921 German designer Hugo Rheingold filed his own patent #4,851 for what is now known as a " reflex Sight Rifle." This design incorporated an adjustable reflex Sight that allowed shooters at long ranges to picture their target directly in their eye instead of having Toeppen adjustments needed at closer distances! Unfortunately because Of all these innovations one company really took advantage of them – Steyr Arms – who produced over 1 million open sights rifles between 1923-1927! Sturm Ruger followed suit soon afterward producing over 2 million Reflex Sight rifles between 1928-1930!! These various companies did not always produce interchangeable parts making it difficult if not impossible to change out your optics while still firing your weapon!!! As synthesis progressed so too did technology making it increasingly easier and more cost effective NOT TO USE SCOPE MOUNTS!!! The end result was basically two groupsof Shooters who DIDN'T NEED SCOPE MOUNTS AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO DIDNT WANT TO PAY FOR THEM… essentially Gun Owners vs Shooter's!!! Today there are legionsof people out there who enjoy shooting WITHOUT THE CONFLICT OF MISSING OPTICS DUE TO A SCOPE MOONCHILD!!!!

There is not a lot of specific history of expandable mounts in San Pablo, California. However, there are some general references that can be used to learn about the topic. In 1847, the first expandable mount was created in San Pablo when an entrepreneur named George W. Griggs erected a six-foot by four-foot iron frame on a small platform near Second and Mission Streets. The mount allowed customers to purchase items up to two feet tall off of the ground. In 1851, another entrepreneur named Samuel Morse installed an 8-foot by 4-foot iron frame with four legs onto a large tree at Fourth and Mission Streets. This type of Expandable Mount became known as a Morse Mount because it was used by Samuel Morse for his telecommunications experiments. The first commercially successful use of an expandable mount occurred in 1865 when Mayor James Phelan purchased an 8-by-6iron frame from George Griggs for $225 and installed it on top of the old Toltec School building at Second and Mission Streets. This type of Expandable Mount became known as the Phelan Mount because it was used by James Phelan for his public works projects. Later that year, an entrepreneur named John Sutter erected an 8-by-4iron frame onto a large rock located at Third and Folsom Streets. This type of Expandable Mount became known as the SutterMount because it was used by John Sutter for his businesses interests outside of San Francisco Bay Area
San Pablo is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 29,859 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in San Francisco and the tenth most populous city in California. The name "San Pablo" means "high ground on or near the bay." The area that now comprises San Pablo was part of Alameda County before it was annexed by Contra Costa County in 1873. The first known European sighting of what is now San Pablo Bay occurred on December 21, 1778 when Captain Antonio de la Niña observed an admiral's ship off the coast of Point Reyes Station. This early description bears evidence of its location as being about where we find ourselves today: At low tide bluffs on the east side of Point Reyes National Seashore just south of Interstate 80. From this spot Spanish sailors could see whales and other marine life up close for years without ever coming ashore to explore; later exploration led to Mission Dolores being built there in 1821 by Father José de Arguelles and Junipero Serra. During World War II many American servicemen were killed or injured while working at Buena Vista Naval Air Station (later Vandenberg AFB) located adjacent to what is now South Park neighborhood on Buena Vista Avenue within walking distance of our current downtown district called North Beach/Beachcomber Heights which housed naval air station personnel barracks, bars and a swimming pool during those days only 6 blocks north across Soquel Avenue from our present day Maritime District between Polk Street & First Street with Weisenthal Building immediately opposite (now BART). Many people who have lived here since then remember much loved military aircraft such as F-111s & E-4B jet fighters parked next door during war time while Navy ships docked nearby including USS Constellation(CVN 78), USS Enterprise(CVN 50), USS Hancock(CVN 63), HMCS Charlottetown(HXMS 9609) & others not mentioned here but all still extant inside our current boundaries! In recent years there has been development along Southpark Boulevard including new housing units with access to BART right outside their doors as well as restaurants and small businesses started up specifically catering to ridership growth on bus lines such as Muni Metro - check out www.sbtransitblog.org for more information about changes taking place around town! In 1847, the first permanent residents of what is now San Pablo Creek Valley arrived. George Washington Smith and his wife, Ann, were the first to settle in what is now north San Pablo Creek Valley. The Sisyphean task of developing this difficult valley was assigned to Edmund Rice, a captain in the California militia. Rice purchased 8,000 acres of land at present-day Strawberry Avenue and Mission Street for $2 per acre. He laid out a town on these holdings which he named after himself: San Pablo Bay. In 1849, when California became an independent republic, San Pablo Bay became part of Alameda County; however, it remained under Spanish jurisdiction until 1795 when that power was transferred to Mexico pursuant to the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. When Mexico ceded its possessions in 1821 to United States control as part of the Mexican-American War (1846-48), San Pablo Bay reverted back to British hands until it was acquired by American forces during their occupation (1847-48). The first Anglo settlers in San Pablo Bay came from England with Major John Cranch in 1840 who established a ferry service between Santa Rosa and Oakland based on his previous experience running horses across Sonoma River. This early development initiated by Englishman John Cranch paralleled similar efforts undertaken by other groups throughout Northern California including Germans and Americans who had come ashore during gold rushes days preceding Californias admission into the Union as a country in 1850. The land on which San Pablo was founded was given to the Spanish by Captain Francisco de Anza in 1821. The first European sighting of San Pablo Bay was made by the Portuguese on February 14, 1598. By 1786, Mission San Rafael had been built and it soon became known as one of the most important missions in California. The mission served as a military and religious center for much of California during its early years. In 1829, Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna transferred ownership of Mission San Rafael to the Mission District Association. This group worked to improve education and infrastructure within the district. Finally, on October 15, 1847, Mexico ceded control over San Pablo Bay to the United States via Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
