The mission buildings remain standing today: The Presidio-MISSION SAN PABLO de BARRETO y GONZÁLEZ Adobe - now home to Park Merritt Museum - and the Barracks which served as both headquarters of the military forces garrisoning Alta California during this time and also housed local settlers' families during periods when there were no missions nearby, such as 1849-1850 or 1851-1852. There are also several churches from early days including Our Lady Of Guadalupe Parish Church founded by Franciscan friar Antonio López de Santa Anna in 1821 which still stands partially original on Market Street outside downtownSan Pablo; Holy Name Cathedral built in 1865 by Father Anselmo Parsons dedicated to Mary Helpers; St John's Episcopal Church built 1886 inside Mission Palace between Second and Third Streets across from City Hall Plaza; Confessionals Chapel built 1904 inside old United STATES courthouse on First Street near Civic Center Plaza now used by UC Berkeley School Of Law Department Of Economics before being torn down c1992 to make way for BART Station expansion In 1906, voters passed Proposition 8 creating Equal Rights Amendment banning discrimination against homosexuals throughout all states without exception but providing that any changes made to state constitutions must be ratified by referendum first thereby guaranteeing passage through Congress through biennial sessions that ended each year with elections held two months later thereafter. When BART openedSANPAN COULD NOW SEE ITS FIRST RACE STUDY IN AMERICA!!!!!! And not just any race either!!! But BLACK people!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that??????? In 1958 SANPAN got their own weekly newspaper called "The Californian" which continued publication until 1984 when it merged with another weekly paper called "Pacific Standard". In 1990 BART demolished much older portion of then Mission District leading to protests between then Mayor Willie Brown Sr., Supervisor Ahsha Richmond & current Mayor Ed Lee among others whoclaimed BART Deletion violated Historic District Preservation Act Guidelines set forth By City Architectural Review BoardIn short I could go on BUT YOU GET THE POINT................. In 1804 Captain David Livingstone took possession of HMS Erebus along with his scientific expedition which included three rifles and ten rounds per man each for his men to use while exploring Antarctica. The first rifle cartridges were designed by John Brown who designed cartridges for muzzle loading artillery pieces around 1814-15 He also developed methods for reloading these weapons using percussion caps instead of round shot which allowed naval ashore batteries to fire more effectively than when fired through traditional cannon barrels

San Pablo is a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area, located on a peninsula between San Francisco andOakland. The population was 24,691 at the 2010 census. The name "San Pablo" derives from Spanish Mission San Pedro Neri, which was founded in 1776 by Franciscan friar Junípero Serra. In 1853, the city of Oakland was incorporated as part of California. In 1868, with the creation of Alameda County, San Pablo became part of that new county. Additionally, in 1901 San Pablo merged with Contra Costa County to form what is now Marin County. The first permanent European settlers arrived in what is now San Pablo Bay in 1776 when Father Junipero Serra established Mission San Pedro Neri on land grant called Rancho Segundo de las Pulgas (Second Settlement). In 1853 an act of the California Legislature designated Point Reyes National Seashore as Site 1 for an American military post to protect shipping off the coast of Northern California from Mexican pirates and marauders. The site would later become home to Fort Point Navarro and other military installations during World War II and Cold War eras. On July 16th 1870, a group of about twenty-six men under the leadership of John Cowlings set out from Point Reyes Station on horseback for what they believed would be a more direct route to Santa Cruz than via Samba Valley or Eshleman Pass although they were not aware of either then nor are they today given their isolation from both pointsimprovements since made by Highway 101 make this journey possible today without descending into difficult terrain especially if you are using Hwy 101 as your only means to get there including many places along its way that offer great views but no food or lodging so these days it's just an interesting ride
The first European to visit San Pablo was Gaspar de Portolà in 1769. The Mission of San Pablo was founded on November 4, 1821 by José Murillo and Andrés Romero. The mission became a cathedral in 1828.
