In 1969, a man named Don A. Cline started making target holders out of a piece of metal he had lying around his home. The first target holders were simple devices that consisted of two posts that held a round hole in the center of the post and allowed you to shoot at it with your rifle. Over time, Cline began to make different models and sizes for different types of targets, eventually creating what is now known as the "Cline Target Holder." Today, there are many different types and brands of target holder available on the market, but one type that is still popular and used by shooters all over the world is the Cline Target Holder.

Many interesting historical events have occurred within this region which have shaped modern day life here including: In 1846, European pioneers arrived in what is now San Mateo County looking for land to homestead following their journey from Alta California via Baja California into Mexico City on horseback. A year later they erected the first permanent structure – an adobe cabin – on Rancho Putnam near present-day Fremont. This initial pioneer community developed into a small town that successfully hosted periodic gold rush fever epidemics (1849-50), attracted national attention during General Mariano Vallejo’s triumphant return from Mexican America with his reports of great discoveries at Chihuahua Bay (1852), saw rapid growth due to new transportation connections opened by First Lady Mary Richards following Gold Rush Fever (1857) led by Captain John Sutter himself; five years later saw establishment of daily paper “New Monthly Register” at Ferry Hall; Second Great Gold Rush started around 1850 but ended before it reached Redwood Valley; average annual population growth between 1851-60 was 13%, well above state average; post-Fremont era had low population density but high volumes (~2 people per acre) due to enterprising individuals buying or leasing ranchlands only to subdivide/develop them into housing tracts averaging 1½ acres each beginning about 1870;; increase in population (>10% every decade since 1880) began resultant syncretic village developments characterized by lofts/rooms attached directly to roofs without downspouts or eaves and often open onto wide verandahs serving up fresh air all day long…
The first Europeans to sight the Bay Area were Acapulco Spaniards, who landed on shore in 1769. The Coast Miwok Indians, also from Mexico, had been living near the San Francisco Bay for centuries. In 1821, while still a part of Mexico, America acquired California as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The treaty ended the Mexican-American War and gave land north of thebay to Americans. First post office in the area was at Point Richmond on Sausalito Peninsula in 1836. A year later, Mechanicsburg became the first town in what is now Silicon Valley when it was founded by Levi Strauss and his brother Jacob Strauss. As Silicon Valley grew increasingly computer-related and innovative businesses emerged including Apple Inc., Google Inc., Intel Corp., and NVIDIA Corporation (now Nvidia), these companies helped make San Francisco their home base. A major technological advance that led to increased prosperity for Silicon Valley was World War II when new technology made possible large-scale production of war materiel like tanks and planes
