In 1892, a law was passed in San Marino that made it a “safe city” for handguns. The law required all handgun owners to keep their firearms in a locked container at home or within the city limits. This rule applied to both civilians and military personnel, and was eventually repealed in 1934. Gun chokes are one of the oldest types of firearm choke devices, dating back to at least 1865. At its most common form, gun choke consisted of a piece of metal that was inserted through an opening at the base of a gun's stock and then tightened against the firing chamber until the weapon would not fire. Gun chokes were first used as muzzle brakes by Confederate artillery officers during the American Civil War. Muzzle brakes prevented enemy shots from hittingfriendly troops on horseback and causing them serious injury or death. In addition to battlefield use, muzzle brakes were also used by police officers in America during the early 20th century. By keeping rounds fired from reaching friendly members of the public, police could prevent mass hysteria and riots. Muzzle brakes were gradually superseded by rifle stocks with more than one shot capacity as gunfire became more widespread throughout society. However, certain types of rifle stocks still retained muzzle brake capabilities through modifications such as risers or buffer tubes (see photo below). Today, many shotguns have muzzle brakes built into their barrels - this is done for several reasons:1) To reduce noise when rounds are fired;2) To prevent Spitfire shells from damaging buildings;3) To reduce recoil;4) To preserve accuracy when shooting large game animals such as deer or elk;5) To avoid accidentally discharging live ammunition into populated areas

San Marino, California is an unincorporated community located in Contra Costa County, California. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The population was 5,471 at the 2010 census. The first Europeans to visit San Marino were Spanish settlers who arrived in 1765. They built a small town on what is now the east side of town and named it "Punta Cana". In 1821, General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna discovered oil reserves in San Marino and decided to put the town onshore to exploit them. The townsfolk voted unanimously to secede from Contra Costa County and form their own county, but this request was not accepted by county officials. On July 14, 1828, a group of Separate Mexican States citizens marched into San Marino with cannons while Governor José Joaquin Murrough led a detachment of soldiers to stop them. The residents then ratified a new constitution which granted voting rights to women and Native Americans. The early years of the 20th century were difficult for the small town as waves of migration poured in from outside of California. Businesses failed due to competition from larger cities; however, people persevered because they believed that their small corner could make a difference in world events. In 1923, Englishman Leslie McFarlane purchased land east of downtown for $5 per acre and began developing it into what would become today's shopping center called Central Park Shopping Center (renamed Macy's after his death). Over time other developers replicated McFarlane's concept but without success; until 1978 when developer John Doerr bought out McFarlane's last share and developed the entire area into commercial office buildings including One World Trade Center (the worlds tallest building until 2007). In 1984 Mayor Dianne Feinstein created Parke-Davis Museum District which includes much of downtown including many old homes dating back to before incorporation into San Marino date back to 1865 when Punta Cana was founded as an agricultural village near where it currently stands Today there are over 150 businesses within 1 mile radius offering art galleries wineyards cheese factories mills & more

In 1795, San Marino was founded as an agricultural community by the brothers Don and Vincenzo Monte. The town's first residents were farmers and their families. Don Monte became a naturalized American citizen in 1827. The area around San Marino served as a ranching center for many years before becoming an incorporated town in 1881. A new school was built in 1902 and the first post office opened in 1909. In 1916, the U.S.'s first airmail service began operations from San Marino Airport. The Italian-American community of San Marino played a significant role during World War II, serving as a base for United States forces fighting in Europe. In 1947, the town voted to become an independent city without voting on whether to join the United States or Mexico City as part of the Mexican Revolution that occurred that year. After the war, the city experienced heavy growth thanks to various businesses and industries that sprang up along with population growth rates above 100%. However, by 2000, economic decline had begun to take hold and by 2007, San Marino had reached its lowest point since it joined Mexico City's metropolitan area The economy has slowly recovered over time but remains struggling against challenges such as crime and poverty which have continue to impact overall development over recent years Today, San Marino is home to a population of approximately 15000 citizens who are made up of both Italian Americans (the majority) and Mexican Americans (a small minority) Historical significance abound withinSanMarino including numerous milestones such as: 1) The founding of Don Monte’s Agricultural Village – In 1795 this village was established near today’s downtown district; 2) incorporation into Cuernavaca County – On November 3rd 1881 following passage of Measure K; 3) establishment of municipalidad status on December 16th 1886 through enactment of Legislative Resolution No 5663 from then Deputy Mayor Lorenzo Bianchi; 4) centennial celebration held October 25th 1907 featuring speeches from then-Governor Pio Rivera Díaz & Mayor Luigi Mignini among others; 5) transformation into an incorporated municipality with its own government on January 1st 1912 thru passage of Municipal Code No 8992 with amendments brought about thru ordinance revision #4/1913; 6) annexation by Mexicali Valley Municipal District on February 14th 1936 thru resolution passed at City Council Meeting that same day via ordinance no 211 ; 7) increase in population due primarily to migration emanating from Southern California during World War II while also experiencing increased infrastructure needs resultant from growing industry ; 8) difficult times following WWII due increasing competition for jobs resulting in mass emigration culminating with dissolution of municipality on June 30th 1951 thru Ordinance Nº 10883 issued by then Mayor Emilio Sánchez de la Peña

The first European settlement in San Marino was made by the Spanish in 1795. The British also had a presence here for some time, but it was the French who started to make a real impact on the area. In 1821, they founded a small town called Cinque Terre (Five Islands), which quickly became an important center of trade and commerce. The French were ousted from San Marino in 1828, and control passed to the Italians until World War II when San Marino became part of Italy. However, following the war, Italian rule looked set to end with a referendum held in 1946 that resulted in support for keeping the self-governing country within Italy. After years of negotiation and discussion, San Marino finally gained its own independence from Italy on 14 October 2008 – becoming an official member state of UNESCO.
