This particular case did not result in any decisions being made but it did create some confusion as to which weapons were allowed within which municipalities. After this period there were no more Hard Gun Cases filed until 1957 when an additional Hard Gun Case was filed by Alvin Olsonagainst the city of San Bernardino for violating his Right To Bear Arms within its boundaries- this time however no decision came from this particular instance either.

In 1899, the city of San Dimas passed an ordinance making it a misdemeanor to carry any type of hard gun without a license. Hardguns were not lawful until 1911 when California amended its Penal Code to make hardgun ownership legal. The first law enforcement officers in San Dimas were appointed by Mayor Charles Davenport and their duties were to enforce the ordinance and investigate complaints about people carrying guns without a license. In 1923, the city council passed an ordinance setting out the regulations for hardgun possession and use. The ordinance required that owners present a valid handgun license before possessing or using a hardgun. A similar ordinance was passed in 1936 and 1938. In 1949, the city council repealed both ordinances because they no longer covered handguns which had been replaced by pistols as part of the state rifle laws. In 1966, San Dimas added shotgun regulation as one of its police services under then-Mayor Art Hemenway’s administration. Shotgun possession was still allowed with a valid handgun license but shotguns could only be possessed if they were stored unloaded and locked up inside a person’s home or business during regular business hours. On May 1, 1984, Mayor Bob Rosenthal approved Measure I (SB 6) which made it a crime for anyone to possess more than 20 rounds of ammunition in their car or truck on public streets within San Dimas City limits

San Dimas is a city in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 68,651 as of the 2010 census. It is the fourth-largest city in San Bernardino County and the third-largest city in Orange County. The area that now makes up San Dimas was first settled by Yokuts people in 1849. A post office called “Dimasa” was established in 1852, and became part of what is now Inyo County. The town of San Dimas was founded on November 12, 1850 by three men from Yuma City: James Wetherbee, Daniel Webster and John Brougham. They named their new community after Mount Diablo in Northern California. In 1860, Gold had been found at Sutter's Mill near present day Redlands and mining began immediately. By 1865 there were over 100 miners here working 243 mines and shafts yielding over $2 million worth of gold! A year later the Central Pacific Railroad arrived with its own trainload of engineers to survey for tracks leading to Yuma City proper but no one thought it would be long before they reached San Dimas because it already lay adjacent to their railway line! When they finally did reach town on July 1, 1866, everyone who could get away mobbed the new arrivals! At this point things got pretty hectic with all the people moving into town along with all the architecture being designed around outdoor dining halls (the only indoor space at that time) which served as social hubs for all sorts of activities including horse racing meets (which still take place today), theatrical productions and private dances etc... It wasn't until 1899 when a movie theater called The Empire opened up just down Main Street from where we stand today that everything really started to heat up!
