From 1935 until 1957 all optics production at Mr J Fennell took place at their new factory located off First Street east of I-5 north of Interstate 80.(FirstStreet also still exists today.) In 1957 Mr Fennell relocated their operations again to 4th Avenue south of SR 408 just outside of downtown Roseville.) In 1984 Bigelow Optics Corporation opened its doors within walking distance from bothMr JFennell's old factory and Bigelow Gunsight Company which had been established earlier that year.-Bigelow Optics Corporation closed down its business operations within months after openingits doors.-All optic production activity at Bigelow Optics Corporation ceased entirely less than one year later

The city is named after Rose Marie and Hilda Fenton, two early settlers who arrived during 1849. The first post office in Roseville was established on July 10, 1850. During World War II, however,Roseville went through some significant changes which can be summarized with three main points: 1) The city’s economy drastically changed due to wartime production; 2) The racial segregation which occurred throughout California during that period led to increased African American migration into Roseville; 3)RoseVILLE saw an increase in crime rates which contributed greatly to its high level of anxiety levels among its citizens
