There are also numerous parks and preserves within the town limits including Hansen Ranch Floral Park which features beautiful gardens full of wildflowers during summertime; prominent hills such as Rosenheim Hill; and miles of hiking trails giving visitors plenty to do without leaving their homes

Rosemead is a city in Orange County, California, United States. It was founded in 1887 by John Sutter and his wife Fanny Hill Sutter. The population was 24,752 at the 2010 census. Rosemead is one of the most affluent cities in the county and has an estimated median household income of $141,046. The city is home to many large tech companies such as Intel and Google. The name "Rosemead" comes from a large redwood tree that once stood near the mouth of the San Gabriel River thereabouts. Mrs. Sutter seems to have had a very strong connection with this tree; she often would go out into the woods around her house to get fresh cut redwood logs for her fireplaces, or else she would bring them home and set them up near her fireplace (the first recorded use of wood burning devices in America!). In 1887 John Sutter moved his family from Fillmore to Rosemead after purchasing land west of Los Angeles along what is now Flower Street just south of Montebello Avenue. His original ranch included some 640 acres located east of today's downtown area including much of today's Rosemead Boulevard! This acreage became known as "Sutterland". In 1915 when post office location changed from Fillmore to Rosemead again due to Proposition 7 (the so-called 'new townhood measure'), what was then called "Sutterland" became part of newly created "Rosemead". In 1924 when annexation by Anaheim made it part of Orange County, all remnant holdings within "Sutterland" were annexed too including wellsprings running off Mt Diablo Creek onsite which continued run until sold off during World War II for agricultural purposes! After annexation by Orange County many businesses relocated away from downtown lured by promise of easy access to freeways and other shopping malls but few worked inside old city limits except for a few small mom & pop businesses that had started here decades before! Most recently several new high-end mixed use developments have sprung up around nearby Pershing Square mall – making it difficult if not impossible for anyone living within walking distance without endangering their security deposit! So we ask: why did these developers choose not to move into older neighborhoods like Downtownroseamead?...and more importantly: How can they prevent developer displacement while still creating quality neighborhoods within walking distance? We think our answer may lie in regenerating historic blocks adjacent to current retail areas - areas that are experiencing heavy gentrification pressure – turning these blocks into dense pedestrian orientated streetscapes providing residents with close proximity both grocery stores, cafes/bakerys, movie theaters etc., as well as top level properties like residences being marketed directto residents!
