Ammunition has been a part of the Rohnert Park community since the early 1800s. The first ammunition store in Rohnert Park was established in 1853 by George W. Hirsch and his brother, Jacob Hirsch. In 1899, the grocery store IGA opened its doors on Ninth Street and served as the center for all ammunition sales in the town. In 1916, Armour Ammunition Corporation was founded in Rohnert Park by brothers John and Wilbert Armour. From then until 1982, Armour Ammo & Munitions was one of the few major firearms retailers in Rohnert Park. In 1978, Winchester Ammunition Company opened its doors at 611 Ninth Street in downtown Rohnert Park. It would be Winchester's home for over 50 years before moving to its current location on First Avenue South in 2007. Today, Winchester offers a wide variety of ammunition products including rifles, shotguns, handguns and ammo storage supplies. Today, there are many businesses that offer their own unique Ammunition history within the town of Rohnert Park. Some examples include: Arrowhead Armory (since 1954), Donnybrook Rifle Factory (opened 1984), Golden Grapes Gunsmithing (opened 1986), Riverside Arms & Ammo (opened 1990), Parker's Sporting Goods (opened 1994) and Golden Bears Ammunition & Reloading Shop(since 2002).

Rohnert Park is a city in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 20,815 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Rohnert Park Peninsula and is bordered by Petaluma to the east, Ukiah to the south, Santa Rosa to the west, and Redwood City to the north. The first permanent settler in what would become Rohnert Park was Captain George Vancouver who landed his ship "Discovery" on January 15th 1769 after sailing around Cape Horn. He named his new land North America's first Coast Miwok settlement of dog Bay Point because of their Canine companions living there at that time. In 1778 Captain James Cook discovered Terra del Fuego and named it San Francisco Bay after France's Governor Sieur de la Croix who had supplied him with supplies for his voyage across Asia. The next year Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portolà reached what is now Rohnert Park on September 26th 1779 while exploring northwest California. He noted an inland sea situated between Mount Shasta and Mount Stinson which he called Eel River because of its many eels swimming in it (today's Lake Merritt). After landing here he built a small cabin near present day Fourth Street and First Avenue where he died two years later from an illness contracted during his exploration expedition. In 1817 an act was passed by Congress entitled An Act for Establishing a Territory in Nevada within boundaries then attached toingo Californiaco (now Sonoma County) . This act created Rancho Rinconada consisting of 3 square miles (10 km²) of land comprising most of today's Rohnert Park Peninsula including all or part of every house on Allendale Road which still stands today as one block long flanked by Second Avenue & Third Street blocks NE from downtown Palo Alto This area became known as East Palo Alto when portions were annexed into Fremont & Oakland Counties respectively some time before annexation into Rohnert Park . East Palo Alto remained under Mexican jurisdiction until 1848 when American settlers took up arms against Mexico in the Morongo Valley War led by General Winfield Scott against General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna y Costilla over grazing rights along El Monte Creek running through present day Menlo Park - part of this action also led to Mission Hill being founded nearby incorporation date unknown but probably occurred about this time too finally becoming incorporated as a town November 14th 1850 with headquarters located at Fifth and Market Streets where they remain today . From this point forward development proceeded more rapidly within geographically defined limits set by people rather than government bureaucrats

Rohnert Park was a small city located in the southern most corner of San Francisco Bay on the east side of Rohnert Island. The first European to sight the island is said to have been Commodore John Drake in 1777. Portuguese traders and missionaries had already landed there some 4 years earlier and by 1821, when California became part of Mexico, their mission had become a thriving town. It was during this time that Rohnert Park's name originated- it was called "Raja Pekin" or "King Philip's Domain". In 1853, land located between Pacific Heights and Fort Mason was leased to the military for use as an artillery training ground. This increased population growth at Rohnert Park which led to its incorporation as a city on February 3, 1860. At that time it consisted of only about 500 people but by 1870 it had reached 2,000 citizens. The early years were difficult for Rohnert Park due to lack of affordable housing and limited transportation options. However, with progress being made in both areas over the next few decades, things began to change for the city rapidly. In 1907, construction began on what would become known as City Hall (later renamed after Mayor George Brougham) which marked an seminal period in its history as it became one of the most important buildings in San Francisco. This also included construction of many other major infrastructure projects such as Water Tower 1 (now part of Golden Gate Bridge), City College (later UCSF) and much more. During World War II, significant amounts of munitions were produced at nearby Point Reyes Station; however much of this activity took place outof view from downtown because soldiers needed access only to Army barracks and vehicles parked off Clay Street near Market Street rather than throughropolis streets like Geary Boulevard where civilians could see and smell what was going on!
