In 1915 Automatic Pistol Association (APA) member Frank Jahn organized a match at which he fielded three types of pistols: Auto Pistol Cocker Hammer guns (.380 calibers), Air Guns with red gas cans (9x19mm caliber), and Shotguns chambered for .22lr rounds Only six handguns were entered with only one winner being announced that year - a World War I era Browning Automatic Pistol! This is significant because automatic pistol matches were not commonly held after 1915 when rifles became more common among shooters. The 1919 APA meeting discussed bringing back an airgun field event but this never happened due to lack of interest from participants or organizers

This new rifle quickly became popular among airgun enthusiasts in California due to its unique design and firepower capabilities. In 1969, Crosman Firearms introduced its first self-loading pistol caliber airgun known as the Crosman Pistol AirGun Company Pistol calibers #1 through #914A were available for purchase by consumers statewide with noTAG or NRA restrictions whatsoever! These pistols were unregulated and could be used by anyone without any type of registration or license requirements!
