Rocklin is a city in northern California, located about an hour and a half east of Sacramento. It was founded in 1853 by Mormon pioneers as the new town of Fillmore. The population was 5,000 when it incorporated as a city in 1895. Rocklin became a campus community for the University of Southern California in 1924 and annexed nearby Diamond Bar in 1926. The local paper, "The Rocklin Republican", was first published in 1853.
Rocklin is a small town in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sierra Nevada foothills and has a typical Mediterranean climate. The name, meaning "rocky place," likely comes from the numerous hills in and around the village. Rocklin was first populated by Ohlone Native Americans who hunted game near present-day Rocklin Lake and on nearby Mount Whitney. European exploration began with Captain John Cahuilla's party in 1769 when he explored what is now Inyo County. A group of men led by Juan Bautista de Anzaormons reached Rocklin on July 28, 1823, during their First Alta California Expedition. The post office at Rocklin was established on December 12, 1848, by James Sibley and named for Hiram Bingham (1792-1868). Mexico assumed control of Alta California in 1821 after General José Joaquín Elizondo's Proclamation of February 14 that divided California into two parts along Mexican lines. The new Mexican government did not recognize Anglo ownership of any land north of the Vizcaya River excepting Mission San Francisco de Asís (founded 1776), which had been granted to José Joaquín Murillo y Arregui as part of Rancho Las Animas grant on November 30, 1795. The abandoned mission site became known as "El Pueblo" or "The Village". When gold was discovered at Golden State Mines about 10 miles east of where modern-day Rocklin stands on January 24, 1861 (), prospectors from nearby Amboy Valley struck it rich while working over an area extending southwest from today's Big Bear Lake to just south ofpresent-day Needles Creek Boulevard (). Over time many other mines were opened throughout Inyo County including Gaviota Mine (), Elephant Butte Mine (), Mammoth Gulch Mine (), Cedar Mesa Mine () and Dow Chemical Company mine (). A post office called Cedar Mesa was established at present day Needles Creek Boulevard on June 15th 1865 by Jno Fenton (). Amboy Valley residents built a cabin there in 1863 to serve as a depot for mail received from various mines in those areas travelling overland via Mono Pass through Amboy Valley en route to Promontory Summit (). As more people arrived they started developing farms around town with seed corn being sown ground up for cattle feed during winter months followed by hay production during summer months until early fall when Timothy White(1824-) developed an irrigation system using ditches dug across Philbrook Creek which irrigated much larger acreage than had been possible before due to high water table levels caused primarily by periodic drought conditions common throughout this region since about 1800 AHD . According to oral history interviews conducted within the last few years with some individuals livingnearby when these changes occurred we may have gone through four successive dry periods starting about 1850 then becoming wet every third year or so until maybe 1906 or 1907 then really drying up until 1924 or 1925

Rocklin is a small town in the East Bay region of Contra Costa County, California. The population was 2,853 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of San Pablo Bay, adjacent to Richmond and across the bay from Walnut Creek. The first people to inhabit what is now Rocklin were Native Americans who lived along the banks of the creek that flows through it. The area was first organized as part of Contra Costa County in 1851. It became a separate municipality in 1903 when it was annexed by Richmond. Rocklin post office opened on January 1, 1851, and closed on December 31, 1957. It was again reopened on February 14, 1959 under then-Mayor James Auld's administration after he won an election against incumbent John Sperling. In 1964 Mayor Don Postema designated a portion of Rocklin as "Anacapa Hills" for residents who had helped develop Anacapa Mesa Preserve near Anacapa Valley Open Space District headquarters in Hercules Heights. In 1990s developer Chuck Laverty created several subdivisions within Rocklin which have since been annexed into other communities; one subdivision is known as Pacific Heights because it borders Marin County across Highway 19 north of Interstate 580 (I-580). At its peak during World War II there were over 1,000 residents living in Rocklin and its surrounding areas; however today only 150 or so people live there full time while most residents are employed in nearby municipalities or outside town limits. Aircraft manufacturer Hughes Aircraft Company built a large manufacturing complex here from 1951 until its closure in 1984 and many employees still reside hereabouts including some who work for Boeing Co., Lockheed Martin Corp., McDonnell Douglas Co., Raytheon Co., ATK Electronics Inc., US Airways Holdings Incorporated (USAir), Honeywell International Incorporated (Honeywell) and others associated with that period of history including those currently working at Legacy Aviation Investments LLC (LAI).
Rocklin is located in the Central Valley of California, about 21 miles east of Sacramento. The town was first founded by Jedediah Smith in 1827 as a mission station on the Rancho Niguel east of present-day Rocklin. The name "Rocklin" was given to the site because an oak tree grew near a stream that ran through the village. In 1868, when Gold Rush era miners arrived in search of gold and silver, they built Fort Stockton (now known as Sunnyside) on what is now Old Rocklin Road. A post office called Rocklin was established in 1868, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903. The first schoolteacher taught grades one through twelve at Fort Stockton School before moving to Rocklin. In 1915, Seeley Pemberton developed land north of town for his cotton plantations and named it Sunnyside after himself and his wife NellieSunny Sidebottom (). Sunnyside became an important agricultural center during World War II with its production of vegetables, beans, rice and other food items for soldiers stationed at nearby Camp Shafter. During the 1960s and 1970s, many local businesses closed due to changes brought about by the hippie movement; however, some remain active today including A Better Life Clothing Store (), which opened its doors in 1967 after being passed down from parents who used to go into Limonex everyday to buy their children's clothes. Today's store has been family-owned and operated since 1997
