There are also several shopping centers located within walking distance of Ridgecrest including Elmhurst Mall, Pier Village Shopping Center, City Market Shopping Center and Northridge Mall. In addition to its shopping options, ridgecrest also has several restaurants including BJ's Long Beach Pizza (which began serving pizza here in 1984), DiGiorno Italian Restaurant & Lounge (a fine dining restaurant), Topanga Canyon Cafe (an American-style Cafeteria) and Golden Corral Mexican restaurant. Ridgecrest also has many private homes available for sale or rent including several mansions dating back to the early 1800s that were renovated into luxury homes over the years. One such home is called "The Oaks", constructed by Henry Fonda during his time as an actor at Paramount Pictures studios here in Ridgecrustieh .
