Ridgecrest is located in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California. It was founded by Mormons in 1847 and became a ghost town after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The last resident died in 1959. Ridgecrest has a small population of about 100 and most residents are descendants of Mormon settlers who moved to Ridgecrest during the early 1800s. In fact, some of the oldest remaining guns still use original rifle barrels as their main components!

In 2008-2009, Ridgecrest also began working on another goal which was to become more active within the community. They have created programs such as "Homespun Health" which offers health services free of charge to residents living alone or with few friends or family members available; "Lawn bowling", which allows residents access to a large amount of lawns for playing without havingto worry about getting wet; "Saturdays at Sunrise", which allows residents the opportunityto enjoy arts & crafts activities during Saturday mornings;and "Meals on Wheels", which provides food service for local families during mealtime]. Ridgecrest is a small town in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. Ridgecrest is part of the Sierra foothills region and lies on both sides of the San Joaquin River. It is east of Yosemite National Park and west of Mono Lake. The first people to live here were the Ohlone people who lived around present-day Ohlone Wells in what is now eastern Inyo County. They hunted game such as deer, bears, and lions and gathered plants for food. There are reports that these people may have been driven out by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century because they would not convert to Catholicism. In 1859, John Wesley Powell came through this area on his way to survey national boundaries for America. He named one of his towns after his friend George Ridge (a man from neighboring Mono County). In 1861, Jedediah Smith used a ferry across the river to get supplies fromuma (now Kern) County into southern Inyo County for General Joseph Hooker’s army fighting against Mexico during the American Civil War. After the war ended in 1865, most of this area became part of Mono Lake National Monument (later renamed Yosemite National Park). This area also saw some heavy farming and ranching activity as well as development with schools and other amenities coming here during this time period including what is now Ridgecrest Elementary School which was built in 1922 on land donated by Jens Ager Rasmussen Sr., father of then- Mayor Ralph Ager Rasmussen Jr.. Ridgecrest experienced rapid growth beginning in World War II when many soldiers returning home found their way here after being discharged from service elsewhere in California or Nevada. This led to a large number of businesses opening up here such as Donatus Broadcasting Corporationwhich began broadcasting radio programs from its studios located on Main Street just outside town limits until it went out Of Business sale in 1978; RCA Victor established its world headquarters here before moving them downriver several miles to new facilities near Vinegar Flat Reservoir; local lumber company Western Electric moved its operations here from nearby Butte Meadows before selling them off 10 years later to Northrop Grumman; Cal Poly Pomona students set up their own student government there before eventually taking over all university governance nationally; although originally an agricultural community focused primarily on growing crops rather thanmanufacturing goods, today's industry concentration can be seen with restaurants like Billy Goat Tavernand popular bars/nightlife spots like Lower Diamond Saloon open largely due to services provided by companies like Intel Capital Ventures Lending Group LP which has invested $1 billion into various industries throughout Southern California since 2008 according to filings with US Securities Exchange Commission.)
