During World War II, American military personnel stationed in Southern California frequently took aim at Japanese targets from beaches along both coasts using various types of gunsights including “Monte Carlo” mounts that permitted users to elevate their weapons up to 100 degrees off horizontal ground level while keeping them aimed directly at the target (see video below). Today’s recoil-operated shotguns utilize crosshair or magnification optics which allow shooters to engage targets with accuracies greater than ever before possible without having to remove their rifles from service mode—a skill that is still highly prized by law enforcement officers throughout North America!
