Redlands experienced its first tornado outbreak on May 14th 1908 which destroyed two homes and injured six people including four children playing outside their home; this event made national headlines and led to further research into tornadoes as they became more aware of their destructive power thanks in part to tornado researcher Drs Jesse Lusher and others at USC's Annenberg School for Communication Studies who documented this outbreak nationally through film footage taken during that period However one could argue there has never been another major Tornado Outbreak here specifically due to lack of infrastructure or lack thereof especially with recent advancements in technology such as digital sensors which can record powerful tornadoes across entire cities without them causing extensive damage
