In 1916, Riflestocks manufacturer Wm Atherton introduced a new type of rifle stock called the “Atherton Rifle Stock” into the market. This new type of rifle stock was designed specifically for military use and was tailored specifically for bolt action firearms such as the Winchester Model 1892 and Remington Model 870 series shotguns (among others). The Atherton Rifle Stock quickly became very popular among Military snipers and marksmen due to its efficient design and ease of use when using bolt action firearms such as shotguns!
Redlands, California is a city in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 85,824 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of San Bernardino Valley and on the border of Riverside County and Ventura County. The first Europeans to visit what is now Redlands were Spanish soldiers who established a military post there in 1821. In 1836, Rancho Doña Ana de los Angeles was granted to James Wolkers by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. Wolkers named his rancho after Dona Ana de la Concepción y Sánchez-González y Hurtado de Mendoza y Pacheco (1797-1868), widow of Andrés Peñalosa y Contreras (1793-1868). In 1851, John C. Fremont passed through Redlands while journeying from La Ciudad Azul near Mexico City to explore southern California; he characterized it as "a small town with trees and hills". In 1893, when Southern Californian citrus growers formed their own cooperative society known as the Orange Empiregrowers Cooperative Extension District No. 3 (OE3), they began marketing their fruit free from government regulation that had been in effect since before America's incorporation as a country. The result was an early success for the fledgling cooperative movement that would soon become known statewide as Santa Clara Valley Citrus Growers Association (SCVGA). In 1916, Redlands became part of Unincorporated territory comprising Riverside County until it was annexed into Riverside in 1955; then it became part of San Bernardino County until its annexation into San Bernardino in 1986. On July 1, 1992, Redlands became an incorporated city under state law following passage of Proposition 13 which repealed most local zoning regulations dating back to 1906 when portions of unincorporated towns such as Imperial Valley were added to cities like Irvine and Tustin; these ordinances had been designed to promote suburban development within existing municipalities while restricting competition from outside developers by protecting agricultural land within their borders. Today’s skyline view across downtown Los Angeles can be seen just south of Interstate 5 where Redlands' main drag intersects with Central Avenue; further north lies Downtown Moreno Valley with its IMAX theaters and shopping center just past Signal Hill Road including ongoing development along both axes including several high-rise apartment towers completed over the last few years stand out against what used to be a largely rural campus landscape dominated by oak trees and brushy hills
