Rancho Mirage, California is a city in Orange County, California. It was founded on October 15, 1961 by the merger of two communities, Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells. The population of Rancho Mirage was 126,512 at the 2010 census. The first target holders were people who used to shoot targets out their front yards with shotguns and rifles. There were also folks that would go inside businesses and use the indoor ranges. In 1965 there was an event called “Target Shooting Day” where all types of shooting gear were available for rent from various shooters. This event allowed people to try out different shooting techniques and equipment before making their own purchases. The first commercial target holders were established in 1978 by Don & Lynda Weibel with a permanent range in the rear of their home. From then until now there have been many changes to how target holders are operated and studied which has resulted in some amazing accomplishments such as being one of the largest indoor ranges in North America!

Rancho Mirage is located in Los Angeles County, California. It is a census-designated place (CDP) and has a population of 137,486 as of the 2010 census. The area was originally part of Rancho LARita Spanish land grant made to José Antonio Larrain by Governor Manuel Nieto in 2003. The community was founded on December 12, 1966 when the United States Postal Service began delivering mail through an abandoned ranch near current day Bernardino Avenue and Indian Wells Road. The first post office opened at Rancho Mirage Ranchánimo in 1967. Rancho Mirage is one of only a few places in the country that have both an open-air shopping mall and an indoor shopping mall with two floors of each type. In addition, both malls feature restaurants and other businesses which can accommodate a large number of customers during peak hours. An outdoor swimming pool has also been built adjacent to Casino del Rey which offers its visitors a great view of downtown Los Angeles while keeping them inside the casino's confines for activities such as air hockey or video poker sessions

The land had been purchased from Juan Bautista de Anza, who had explored and claimed part of modern-day Ventura County. Until after World War II, Rancho Mirage was a major center for dairy production and also served as a base for military activities during World War II. During the post-war years, Rancho Mirage experienced rapid growth as new subdivisions were built along portions of its shoresline. By 1970, most of what is now Rancho Mirage had been developed. Today, Rancho Mirage is an important cultural and tourist destination with nearly 2 million visitors each year; it is home to many businesses including two hospitals and various casinos The history of Rancho Mirage begins with Spanish settlers who arrived in 1769 pursuant to Francisco Vásquez de Coronado's effort to explore the interior regions of California beyond San Diego Bay. After centuries living nearsea ports onthe Pacific coast where goods were traded between Spain and Asia via small boats or ships anchored offshore, these early colonists discovered that they could not easily travel inland due to lack of roads or other infrastructure. In 1771 alone there were nine warships attempting unsuccessfully to reach Californias central coast from Manila Bay through Catalina Island; only three reached shore without being looted or sunk (Lopez 16). Consequently Spain agreed to cede control over all Central America west of Mexico City to Great Britain in 1821 under the Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo which ended Mexican independence war 1 year earlier (Fischer 9). Although signifying British acquiescence at ending this long-standing conflict that followed more than 12 years of bloody fighting across several states (Powell 3), this treaty did not finally give Mexicans formal access to American soil; instead it gave Americans such advantages as patents over Native Americans that still exists today (Goudreau 10).
