As Californialand grew increasingly inhospitable during wartime, ammunition production shifted from civilian hands into government-owned arsenals located near Los Angeles County Airport and other strategic locations throughout Southern California. In 1949, when CAL FIRE was created as part of state government response to increasing fire danger across Northern California, Rancho Cucamonga’s long history as an Ammunition Manufacturing City came into play again as local producers organized themselves under one roof at CAL FIRE Headquarters on First Street in downtown Livermore CA. At this point Ammunition Manufacturing City had become an essential part of statewide ammo production responsible for manufacturing over 1 million rounds per year for 21 states plus Washington D.C., producing everything from bullets to propellants and explosive ingredients needed in munitions manufacture including detonators and blasting caps used by naval personnel afloat or ashore on warships or airfields overseas

Rancho Cucamonga, California is located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. It is bordered by Rancho Mirage to the east and south, Sylmar to the north, and Northridge to the west. The population of Rancho Cucamonga was 813 at the 2010 census. The name "Cucamonga" is derived from "cuchi-nuna," a Native American word meaning "to trade." The rancho was granted in 1853 to José Antonio Cahuenga. In 1871, it was sold to John Sutter for $5,000. In 1905, it was purchased by Maurice Hirschhorn and his wife Grace Pritchett. They renamed it Rancho Cucamonga after their home state of New York. Rancho Cucamonga became one of Southern California's most important agricultural areas during World War II because of its proximity to military bases such as Marines Air Station Miramar and El Toro airfields. After the war ended, agriculture declined but remains an important part of the community's economy today with crops like vegetables and fruits being grown as well as almonds, walnuts, pistachios, honeydews and apples. In 2001–2002 a project called "Agenda 21: A Vision for Our Community" was developed by residents in response to then-Governor Gray Davis' call for plans that would promote environmental sustainability within Southern Californian communities through public education and coordination with other local governments across the state

One of the most infamous incidents in ammunition history occurred during World War I when German forces bombed London with artillery rounds containing ammonium nitrate (AN). The gas that resulted from these munitions caused extensive damage to buildings and killed over 100 people. In response to this atrocity, Britain began using AN-filled shells in their artillery for the first time in 1916. The use of AN munitions continued until 1945, when they were finally outlawed following World War II.

Rancho Cucamonga was founded in 1873 by Francisco Palomares and his family. The Rancho was later given to Antonio J. Alvarado, who subdivided it into parcels and sold them off. In 1916, the Palomares family donated their land to the City of Los Angeles for use as a public park. The city developed the area around the park and used it as an entertainment center and employment center during World War II. In 1955, Rancho Cucamonga became part of Riverside County when it was created from portions of San Bernardino County. Today, Rancho Cucamonga is a bedroom community located east of downtown Los Angeles with over 20,000 residents. It is home to many private schools including Miramar High School, Hollywood Hills Middle School, and Garden Grove High School which are all members of both the Orange County League (OCC) and Southern California League (SCL). The city also operates two parks within Rancho Cucamonga: North Park and South Park which are located adjacent to each other onashioning a self-contained community that offers sports fields, playgrounds, tennis courts, walking trails, fire pits/pits/lodges etc.
Rancho Cucamonga was founded in 1879 by Manuel Nieto. The land for the ranch was donated by Felipe de la Peña. In 1888, Rancho Cucamonga became part of Los Angeles County and was organized into a township.
