Rancho Cordova was founded in 1853 by the family of Rancho San Miguel de Cajon. In 1928, it became a part of the United States. The ranch is now managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The town of Cordova was established in 1856 by John Wesley Powell and his team on the west side of Lake Havasu City. They named their settlement after Rancho San Miguel de Cajon, which they had just occupied from Mexico. The first post office in Cordova was opened in 1859. Afterward, the town grew rapidly due to its location and various industries developed there such as meatpacking, printing, and dairy production. In 1916, when World War I began, cordovans joined with other American towns to form the Valley Cities Defense Association to help support Army troops during hostilities. The 1920s were a time of great change for Cordova as well. One key event that occurred during this decade was the opening of nearby Apache Junction into an open-air air research station called University Field Station (UFSS). This new development allowed for more scientific exploration and research at UFSS than ever before; it also led to new industry growth in Cordova such as aircraft manufacturing and tires manufacturing. Additionally, cordovans rallied behind Proposition 64 – a ballot measure passed in 2016 that declared California statehood – which helped grow local businesses and create jobs across the state. The late 20th century also saw an increase in crime rates throughout most of California due to increased drug use and violence among people living within urban areas; however, cordovan communities continued to experience relatively low levels of crime compared to other parts of California. Today, Rancho Cordovo is a thriving community with a variety of cultural attractions available including arts & crafts shows at Cordova County Fairgrounds; hiking trails located around downtown; beach access located on both sides of Highway 95; golf courses located near villages like Porterville or Napa; restaurants including several chain stores such as Macy’s or Sears;and shopping malls like Kmart or Costco across California’s Central Valley region

Rancho Cordova, located in Kern County, California was founded by Francisco Cordova in 1847. The rancho was originally purchased from the Juan Bautista de Anza Ranch and later sold to José Joaquin Cárdenas. In 1873, the rancho was bought by Isaac Peskin and then passed down through the Peskin family. The rancho became part of California after it was acquired by the United States in 1850. It has been owned by a number of families over the years, including that of George Hearst. Rancho Cordova is now a public land administered by the National Park Service. The first inhabitants of Rancho Cordova were Native Americans who lived near the original site of present-day Rancho Cordova. The first European to visit Rancho Cordova was José Joaquín Cárdenas who arrived on July 26, 1847. He purchased about two acres of land from Juan Bautista de Anza for $1,000 cash plus interest and fees. From this initial purchase, Cárdenas developed what would become Rancho Cordova into one of the most successful ranches in California history. In 1853, Isaac Peskin settled on a piece of property adjoining Cárdenas' ranchos and began building a house which he called "Peskin's House." In 1860, Josefina Maria Vidal Pacheco married Isaac Peskin and moved to live at "Peskin's House." From this marriage stemmed three generations of Vidal family residents: Felipe VIidal Pacheco (1860-1937), Rosa Vasconcelos Pacheco (1865-1943), his son Santiago (1920-2001) and his daughter Milagrosa (born 1923). Thepeskins also operated an undertaker business in town which helped support their growing ranchería during those early days before there were any Tesoro stores or other local amenities available for convenience purposes. Cordova became one of America's wealthiest towns as development increased along with agricultural production throughout California during these years following Mexican independence from Spain in 1848 AD.- nevertheless violence still occurred between Anglo settlers and Native American groups due to competition for resources such as water rights and grazing areas! Development continued apace until around 1880 when large investments failed to bring prosperity to cordovans despite concerted efforts; they instead resorted to smuggling goods across Mexico into Sonora so their ranches could continue operation unhindered.; however smuggling activities came to an end largely due primarily to US Border Patrol activity starting around 1900.? Often times smugglers would cross into Arizona or Nevada using different routes so as not to be detected? Rancho Cordova was founded in 1847 by John Sutter and his partner, George C. Yount. The land for Rancho Cordova was donated by Lord El Dorado. The original ranch house is still standing, although it has been remodeled several times. It is now used as a museum.
