By 1907 much of what makes today's Pleasanton so attractive had been developed: small villages clustered around dirt tracks within easy driving distance; several churches and schools; a library; two stores; a streetcar system serving agricultural products from central California down into Santa Cruz County; two hospitals - one now known as Stanford Hospital (founded 1850) and one more recently called Kaiser Hospital (opened 1935). In 1951 four brothers started operating the world's first commercial airmail service between Oakland/San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles using Consolidated Aircraft Corporation planes leased from World Airways Corporation

Pleasanton is a small town in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 7,478 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay and is adjacent to Walnut Creek. The first Europeans to come to what is now Pleasanton were Spanish Missionaries in 1795. A post office called Rancho de las Pulgas was founded in 1848, and soon developed into a vibrant agricultural community with orchards, vineyards, dairy farms and small businesses. By the early 1900s Pleasanton had become an important transportation and commercial center due to its location on the Central Pacific Railroad mainline and its access to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). In 1915 Pleasanton incorporated as a city under the name of "San Francisco". During World War II it became one of the largest communities in Northern California housing large numbers of Marines and sailors who served in both world wars. In 1955-1957 Pleasanton experienced one of America's most destructive wildfires when Category 4 Hurricane Diane swept through Silicon Valley destroying much property including many homes in nearby Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Since then there have been several significant redevelopment efforts within the city limits that have included: Pleasanton has seen some recent changes as well; following protests over municipal corruption scandals throughout China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region starting in 2014-2015 which saw extensive looting across Chinese cities by militants associated with terror groups such as ISIS/ISIL during Ramadan fasting period among other issues.,Chinese investors moved into local real estate market beginning around 2020 bringing more diversity with different prices tags available for sale.- resulting Gentrification occurring where lower income residents are pushed out onto streets immediately near schools while wealthier residents move away from downtown areas towards new neighborhoods closer to freeway exits
