The holster became known as the Colt Pistol Holster and was used by American shooters to protect their weapons from theft. In 1865, a company named Browning began making handguns in Pinole, California. The company started out making revolvers and then transitioned to pistols. By 1897, Browning had become the leading handgun manufacturer in America. They also produced holsters for other firearms such as rifles and shotguns. In 1911, the National Rifle Association (NRA) was founded in America. The NRA helped standardize gun laws across America and contributed to the growth of firearm safety among Americans. This led to increased demand for handguns and holsters by law enforcement officers throughout America. Asholts began manufacturing holsters for other firearms in 1948 under the name “Pineapple” Holster Company Inc.. Asholt continued producing holsters until 1971 when they merged with another holster company called Safariland to form Safariland-Asholt Corporation Ltd.. Hybrid Holster: A hybrid holster combines both an off body pistol carrier (OBC) with an on body handgun holder (OHHB). Pinole is a small town located in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It has a population of around 9,000 people and is known for its fertile farmlands, rolling hills, and clear skies. The first Europeans to visit Pinole were the Spanish in 1769. The name "Pinole" comes from the Mexican word "pino," meaning apple orchard. The earliest settlements in what is now Pinole were made by Mexican settlers who arrived during the era of goldmining in California. In 1851, an American who had accompanied General José Castro on his march from Mexico to Stockton founded a small cabin named Rancho San Francisco about two miles east of present-day Pinole. The owner of Rancho San Francisco died within a year and his heirs sold it to Englishman John Sutter in 1852 for $8,600. Sutter started building houses in what is now Pinole around 1860. He named one of his homes Refugio de las Américas (Refugee House of America). By 1865, Sutter had built over 100 structures in and around today's town. In 1868, he opened the first post office in what is now Pinole and became its first resident governor. In 1872 Sutter merged with other Californian towns to form Anaheim County and began construction on what would become Orange County's only major city – Anaheim – which was incorporated on November 14, 1888. As Greater Los Angeles grew increasingly dense – especially east of downtown – growth outside Anaheim was limited; however, due to increased migration into Anaheim from Southern California beginning in earnest after World War II (the Korean War also hastened this trend), growth within Anaheim reached unprecedented levels by 1970 when it surpassed Downtown Los Angeles as the most populous county seat in California The heyday of pinoleiana coincided with three periods: Prohibition Era (1920s-1930s), Golden Age (1940s-1960s) and Late Twentieth Century (1970s-present). Pinole is a small town located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The population was 1,565 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Paso Robles-San Luis Obispo, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community began as an agricultural community, and today it is a bedroom community for downtown San Luis Obispo. The first residents of Pinole were Mexican immigrants who arrived in 1851. They engaged in sheep and cattle raising and ran a general store. In 1865, they formed the First National Bank of Pinole with $5,000 from twenty-four investors. By 1870, pinole had developed into an agricultural center due to its location on the Central Valley's main waterway - Menlo Creek - which gave it access to markets throughout California and Mexico. In 1881, John Crain founded JCC Church in Pinole after coming to America from Ireland as a teenager with his family. The church would grow into one of the largest congregations in Southern California with over 10,000 members by 1930 (one third of all Catholic parishioners). In 1907-1908 John Crain donated land for what would become University Park; this eventually became Santa Clara University (later Stanford University). A year later he also donated money for the construction of St Joseph's School which opened in 1911 along Menlo Creek Boulevard near where he now lives on El Camino Real Drive North/South Street east of Interstate 5
