Pinole is a city in San Bernardino County, California. It was founded by Mexican Americans in 1851 and became a town in 1872. The city has had its share of ammunition manufacturing and firing businesses since the early 1800s.
Pinole is located in the Central Valley of California, about an hour and a half west of San Francisco. According to the 2010 census, the population was 31,594. The name Pinole comes from the Spanish words "pinche" or "little hole." The word is also used for a place near here called Pinche Hill. The first Europeans to visit what is now Pinole were traders from Mexico City who traveled through this region in 1769. They named it Rancho Arroyo de la Cañada de las Flores because there was a small waterfall on that property. This area had been part of Mexico since 1821 when it gained independence from Spain. In 1846, during the Mexican-American War, General Antonio López Ruiz discovered land comprising present-day Pinole and adjoining parts of Tomales and Monterey counties while searching for new grazing lands for his horse herd. He sold some of this land to American settlers, including John Coyle and James Irvine. In 1848, Jens Jensen arrived in what is now Pinole with his family after being discharged from the Danish Army at Sacramento Military Camp in Northern California. Jensen set up a tannery on what is now State Route 101 south of town and began marketing leather goods to native Californians as well as Mexicans living along the riverine areas east of Bakersfield. By 1850, he had developed into one of Southern California's leading tanneries until his business went bankrupt in 1855 due to overproduction in an economy depressed by warring factions within Mexico and America regarding control over territory between those two countries. When America acquired California during the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), portions including Nowata County were included within Alta California Territory which became part of United States following its acquisition by that state via Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo on February 6th, 1849; however pinole remained under Mexican rule until November 30th 1860 when it become part of independent Alta California following The Admission Act (24 Statutes at Large 1). Baker Valley National Wilderness Preserve covers most or all present day Pinole County although there are several small communities scattered throughout plots within other rural counties adjacent thereto – much like how many mountain ranges are spread throughout their respective states such as Vermont Yankee National Wildlife Refuge & Adirondack Mountains National Park but no similar concentration/density found within federal wilderness preserves such as Yosemite National Park & Rocky Mountain National Park – making these areas even more pristine than national monuments! On July 12th 1908 President William McKinley signed Executive Order 8802 creating Bears Ears National Monument which encompasses much or all present day Soquel Valley excluding Pine Valley which lies immediately adjacent thereto; extending eastward nearlyto Bear River Canyon outside Santa Barbara County!Preserving&maintaining:the wildlands lying outside ringroad protected travel corridor designated under section 4(b)of Comprehensive Management Plan!!!

Pinole, California is a small town located in the state of California. The population was 7,851 at the 2010 census. The name comes from Spanishmeaning "place of many PINOES" which is what the area was originally called. Pinole Creek flows through the town and provides water to most of it. It was founded by Captain John Cranch in 1824 as part of Rancho San Lorenzo de Alcalá, one of Californias first Hudsons Bay Company ranchos. At its peak in 1881, Pinole had a population of over 100 people and employed 1,500 people in agriculture, manufacturing, services and construction. However, today pinole's economy relies primarily on trade with nearby towns such as Monterey County and Salinas City. The history of Pinole begins withCaptain John Cranch who arrived in 1824 from Ireland with his family. He began working on Rancho San Lorenzo de Alcalá which included some land that would later become Pinole Creek. In 1828 he married Dolores Moreno and their children include Juan Jose (1829-1883), María Concepcion (1830-1910), Francisco Javier Moreno (1834-1900)and José Antonio Moreno (1838-1901). Captain John Cranch died in 1852 but his wife continued to live here until her death in 1907. In 1861 Dolores Canyon formed when two forks of Calaveras River united near present day Pinole Creek intersection In 1875 during the Gold Rush a group including Captain John Cranch's grandson George Bancroft bought 640 acres around present day Pinoles Park for $1 per acre from James Irvine who had also purchased Rancho San Lorenzo de Alcalá from Captain John Cranch four years earlier On April 15th 1850 Mexican citizen Miguel Angel Martinez came across an ad for 160 acres along upper Antelope Road east side of Current Highway between present day Mission Peak Boulevard and Gorman Drive No 8 about 12 miles north east of downtown Los Angeles Miguel Angel Martinez named this place after his home village Antequera del Carmen located about 20 miles northeast of Mexico City
