In 1915, the company name was changed to Brownells Incorporated. By 1918, Brownells had become one of the leading ammunition manufacturers in the United States. Brownells became part of Ruger Manufacturing Company in 1923. At that time, Ruger was America’s second largest firearms manufacturer after Colt Firearms Corporation (now Colt). In 1925, Ruger merged with Remington Arms Company Limited (now Remington Products) to form what would become Remington Arms Corporation (RAC). RAC continued production at its original site until 1971 when it relocated to its current location on Antelope Road in Patterson Township (just outside of town). During World War II, Krupp AG produced munitions at their Patterson Works facility. Krupp AG supplied munitions to both Nazi Germany and Japan during World War II. After World War II ended, Krupp AG demobilized and sold their assets within Germany to ThyssenKrupp AG which then sold those assets within Europe to Dutch arms manufacturer Ruud Landis NV for $4 billion USD in 1989*. * Ruud Landis NV later became part of BAE Systems plc.*

Patterson is a small town in Contra Costa County, California, located on the east side of the San Pablo Mountains. The population was 2,814 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Stockton–Munising Micropolitan Statistical Area. The Patterson post office opened in 1892 and was inactive from 1912 to 1964. It reopened under new management in 1965 and has been in operation continuously since then. In 2010, it celebrated its centennial with a celebration that included an exhibition of local art, a four-day festival of agricultural exhibits, and a parade honoring local dignitaries. Patterson is named after Edwin Augustus Patterson who settled there in 1853 and built a summer home on what is now Main Street. He became sheriff of Contra Costa County in 1861 and served until his death in 1881. His successor, Daniel Hahnemann Patterson, continued to serve until 1893 when he also died at age 70 years old.

In 1907, Winchester introduced rifled bullets which gave handgunners increased accuracy and range beyond what traditional smooth bore bullets could offer. These new bullets quickly gained popularity and helped make huntingdecreasingly difficult for most predators while providing hunters with an expandable sourceof ammunition choice that was both affordable and reliable. During World War II, American munitions companies played a significant role in helping define how weapons were used by Allied troops throughout Europe and North Africa. By 1944, Winchester had become one of America’s largest firearms manufacturers with operations in more than 50 countries around the world. As production slowed due to World War II restrictions on ammunition sales, Winchester turned its attention towards creating high-quality shotgun rounds using its own proprietary technology called “Winchester Partitioned Projectile Ammunition” (WPPA). With this new product line, Winchester became one of America’s premier shotgun ammo providers worldwide. The powder that was used in those early shotshells consisted of lead and shot put together with charcoal to produce a black powder mixture. It took about 10 years for the development of modern firearms to make it possible to fire round objects with this type of ammunition. In 1848, an American manufacturer called Armstrong began producing rifle rounds made from cast iron and steel instead of lead and charcoal. The first occupants of Patterson were the Hahns who established a cabin in 1865. In 1876, a group of prospectors camped on the east side of Patterson Creek and named it after John C. Patterson, an American general who had led them to success during the Gold Rush era. The first store opened in 1886 and was operated by Wm. Ewing and his brother-in-law Milt Beery. By 1907, there were five stores in the community with a population of 2,500 people. In 1914, Pattersons voted to annex what is now Kern County; this action helped make Patterson one of the most important cities in Kern County because it increased its economic stability and allowed for more development within its boundaries than would have been possible without annexation. The city also became known for its fine architecture which has been preserved throughout time including many buildings that are still standing today such as City Hall and Slocum's Store (now known as Pizza Hut). As part of their efforts to welcome residents into their city government during World War II, Mayor George Aiken made incorporation official on July 16th 1945 with an address from President Franklin D Roosevelt at City Hall; this event marked the beginning of what would become one of Patterson's most popular traditions: parade days! On November 8th 1959 local legend has it that "Patterson's Best" was born when Bobby Flay won $10 worth of food items from PatzRations while performing at Civic Auditorium; since then "Patterson's Best" has become an annual tradition among cooks across America! Patterson hosts several events each year which include 4 Days Of Hell (a chili cookoff), Halloween Havoc (an annual street fair), Christmasfest (a festive event featuring artisans from all over), and pattersonspets (a pet show).
