Paramount is located on the west bank of the Los Angeles River and is bordered by Beverly Hills to the north, West Hollywood to the east, Silver Lake to the south and Sylmar to the west. They named their studio "Columbia Pictures". In 1923, they moved into what is now their current location on La Brea Avenue. In 1929, Columbia Pictures merged with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Company to form MGM Records Incorporated. On May 6, 1934, MGM merged with Universal Studios Incorporated to become Universal Pictures Corporation; however, some elements from both companies continued to operate separately until 1938 when all three merged into one company under new management at Republic Pictures Corporation. In 1941, Paramount became part of The Walt Disney Company following its acquisition of Marvel Enterprises Limited; however Disneys retained full ownership of their own production facilities within MGM until 1946 when he sold them all back to Republic Pictures Corporation for $3 million USD ($75 million CAD). After World War II ended in 1945 and film production slowed due largely to lack of demand for pictures after V-E Day (1945), Republic Pictures Corporation decided against making any movies again until 1949 which resulted in them producing only documentaries during that time period known as '49 Films'. In 1957 they produced Star Trek: The Motion Picture which became an international box office success and remains one of the highestgrossing films ever made while also spawning several sequels over ensuing years including 2009's Star Trek: Into Darkness and 2013'sStar Trek II: Wrath Of Khan; both directed by J J Abrams who directed both those films as well as his directorial debut feature film Cloverfield Paradox which was released on December 20th,. This streak continued through Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope where Abel Ferrara was cast as Darth Vader opposite Mark Hamill playing Luke Skywalker; but afterHamill suffered a broken ankle during shooting prior to release it was announced that Ford Prefect would replace him throughout filming despite protests from Hamill's family.; this proved successful enough for Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney's holding company (which included Marvel Entertainment) not only Toei Animation but its Japanese subsidiary Bandai Namco Entertainment too produce new spin-offs featuring hammy friends Boba Fett & Lando Calrissian among others called incarnations such as Rogue Squadron or Force Unleashed; these productions led directly into Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader in 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith Part 2 released two years later followed by Knights Of Sidious in 2011′s Rogue One: AStar Wars Story which finally revealed Yoda’s true identity before his death at end of 2016’s Han Solo Anthology Film Parts 1&2

Captain George Fenton had been inspired to found the town after seeing what he thought would be an uninhabitable region near Yosemite National Park. The area was previously owned by Native Americans who used it for hunting grounds and food sources. After years of construction, Fenton's paradise became reality when he donated land to make Paramount its permanent home. The town quickly developed into a major center for film production due to its easy access to resources and good infrastructure. In addition to acting as a workshop for filmmakers, Paramount also served as a bureau headquarters for many Hollywood studios during this time period. Many famous films were made here such as "Gone With the Wind" (1939), "A West Point Story" (1941), "The Godfather" (1972), and "Ender's Game" (1986). However, despite these successes, Paramount did not remain unscathed during World War II; rather than remaining uninvolved with industry, many employees chose to enlist in the military effort or contribute their time and skills towards other efforts such as helping rebuild war-torn countries after the war ended. However, even though some local businesses were damaged or destroyed during wartime operations, that didn't stop Paramount from continuing growing; within 10 years post-war profits had doubled thanks largely to increased movie production statewide at all levels combined! In 1948 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer merged with American Film Company which left Paramount Pictures undisputed masters of Hollywood film production following independence from Goldwyn Mayer Studios five years earlier! This newfound power allowed themto expand their operations significantly outside Los Angeles County including productions in San Francisco Bay Areaand Phoenix Arizona
