The Paramount Gun case history began in 1934 when the town of Paramount, California was founded by P.J. Reynolds and his brothers. The Reynolds family had a store on Main Street that sold firearms, ammunition and other gunrelated items. In 1935, the town passed an ordinance allowing private individuals to carry self-defense firearms without permits. This ordinance was repealed in 1938 because it was considered an infringement on the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. In 1942, Warner Bros., one of Hollywood's largest movie studios, moved to Paramount from Burbank and started making movies there as well. The companyowned a large arsenal of weapons including handguns and rifles which were used for filming throughout the 1940s and 1950s. In 1951, when MGM merged withUA (the parent company of Warner Bros.), MGM owned all the assets of UA's film production businesses including Paramount Pictures. In 1957, MGM merged with United Artists (UAA), creating what would eventually be known as Universal Studios Entertainment Corp.. At Universal Studios Entertainment Corp., handgun sales were discontinued due to its ownership by UAA which also oversaw theatrical distribution for its films through its own Distribution Company subsidiary. In 1967, after three decades at Universal Studios Entertainment Corp., John Huston left studio management to become CEO of 20th Century Fox Film Corporation where he directed many successful box office hits such as "The Godfather" and "The Graduate". As co-CEO at 20th Century Fox Film Corporation with William Morris Agency (WMA), Huston helped grow 20th Century Fox into a global force in motion pictures by signing deals with leading producers around the world including Columbia Pictures International Ltd., Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., Walt Disney Productions Inc., British Columbia Film Industries Ltd., Japanese Industrial Television Co.(JITC)), Australian Broadcasting Corporation Limited (ABC) and Pathé Exchange Films France SAS (PEF). With these agreements came increased distribution rights across multiple languages worldwide for FOX's motion picture products while developing new projects inside and outsideof Hollywood. Huston retired from 20th Century Fox Film Corporation in 1986 but continued to have a significant role within Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp empire until his death in 2011 aged 90 years old

However, during World War II Paramount lost much of its business due to military Production quotas. However significant these contributions may have been historically or presently within the studio itself there are also a number of important figures who have had their careers at Paramount cut short by its corporate structure: Lew Grade (founder and CEO from 1972-1996) was fired from his position after producing an embarrassing flop starring Sylvester Stallone; David Geffen left after failing to raise money for a new studios project; Guillermo del Toro left after becoming embroiled in a power struggle within Universal over creative control; Rob Reiner took over as CEO until he was fired too following allegations of sexual abuse against several employees at his former studio Disney animation unit; John Landis was let go after making a series of low-budget films that were seen as amongLOSER's worst ever – primarily because they clashed with then head president Walt Disney over creative direction at ABC Films which led to several high-profile product failures for Touchstone Pictures including The Godfather Part II (1972) which did poorly both domestically and internationally while other major productions like Batman & Robin (1989) and A Tale Of Two Cities (2002) fared better commercially. In recent years though things seem to be looking up for Paramount with multiple successful movies being released under their banner such as Transformers: Age Of Extinction(2015), Star Trek Beyond(2015), Terminator Genisys(2018), Black Panther(2018), Jurassic World Fallen(2018), Ready Player One(2045),"A Quiet Place"(2019))and Deadpool 2(2058). It seems that even when times are tough for any particular studio executives can count on seeing them succeed again soon afterwards through careful planning combined with innovation aforesaid – something that has been common at both MGM/UA during earlier times too!
