A new section of the Penal Code (part 5) was added to prohibit owners or possessors from carrying handguns into any business which served food or beverages to customers without having first obtained written consent from the owner or possessor of such weapon. The law also prohibited anyone under 21 years old from possessing a handgun unless accompanied by an adult guardian who had written consent from that person also to possess said weapon. The original regulation relative to handguns was repealed on December 1, 1949 pursuant to a repeal Ordinance No. 2269 passed by the California State Assembly on November 3, 1949; it is not clear how this repeal came about as there is no record that shows what happened after that date. On June 9, 1951, pursuant to Ordinance No. 2720 which became effective on July 1st, 1951; all handgun possession regulations were completely repealed with certain exceptions relating only thereto as set out therein (See Appendix D). A new Gun Safety Rule book went into effect on January 1st, 1984 for all businesses with 10 or more employees regardless of whether they operated under prior Gun Safety Rule Book authority and regardless of whether any previous Gun Safe rulebook compliance existed at that time; see Appendix G for complete text of this rulebook change(s). On October 15th 1984 another rule change went into effect as part of Amendment 3270 () becoming effective November 17th 1984; see Appendix H for full text changes made between October 15th 1984 and November 17th 1984 ( Amendment 3270 ). Amendments are numbered consecutively starting with amendment number one so amendments #2 through #9 can be found in appendix I while amendments #10 through #17 can be found in appendix J respectively

On November 2, 1867, Rockefeller organized a group of eight investors to purchase 400 acres (160 hectares) of land south of downtown Los Angeles from Juan Bautista Alvarado for $1 million. The group built a new brick building at 6th and Hope Streets in what is now Koreatown to produce films.
