In 1892, a group of businessmen in Paradise, California, decided to put together a firearms company. They named their company "Swivel Guns." The business thrived and soon became the leading gun manufacturer in the area. In 1912, they moved to an improved facility on Airport Road in Paradise. Swivel Guns continued to make high-quality firearms until 1939. Then, during World War II, the company produced military surplus firearms for the war effort. After the war, Swivel Guns resumed its traditional production of handguns and rifles. In 1957, it merged with another gun manufacturer to form National Firearms Corporation (NFC). The merger led to a restructuring of NFC and a new emphasis on pistols rather than rifles and shotguns. This change helped NFC become one of America's leading firearm manufacturers. Today, NFC is one of the largest weapons dealers in the country.

On November 15, 1892, the first gun swivel in Paradise, California was patented by Charles Goodyear. The patent was granted to him for a device that allows the user to rotate the barrel of a handgun in order to aim it at a different target from any other location.

Paradise is located about an hour outside of Los Angeles on Interstate 5. The town was founded by its namesake, Michael Hahn. It's considered one of the most beautiful places in California and has a population of only 3,000 people. There are no zoning regulations or laws that govern how much land may be developed in Paradise and developers are free to build any type of house or structure they please. There is also no municipal government and residents rely entirely upon private donations for services such as water and sewer lines. The climate here is extremely Mediterranean with temperatures reaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer and below freezing during the winter. This creates a perfect environment for olive trees, grape vines, fruit trees, horses and donkeys, tennis courts, pools and hot tubs. There are also several golf courses available for playingotesques such as 18 holes atInterstate 5's Harmonie Course which opened in 1976 and offers a challenging yet fun experience that can accommodate all levels of players (www.harmoniecourse dot com). Additionally there are several small towns located within minutes' drive of Paradise including Lake Arrowsmith which features unique hiking trails suitable for all ages as well as fishing tournaments held at various points throughout the year; Alpine Springs which provides access to beautiful outdoor springs filled with crystal clear water; Aspen Highlands where visitors can find rolling hills full of residences perched atop towers made from redwood trees dating back to 1852; while White Sandszombies offer visitors a place where they can safely play video games without fear of coming into contact with human beings

The turret retained its original position within the ship but could rotate 360 degrees, allowing it to fire all its guns at once. This gave battle-winning advantages to ships like HMS Victory which could now engageMultiple targets at once with greater accuracy than ever before possible
Paradise, California is a small city located in the Kern County of Southern California. The name "Paradise" was given to the area by Mexicans who found it while they were exploring the Kern River Valley in 1849. The first people to live in what is now Paradise were the Anza Expedition, which explored Rancho San Bernardino de la Pulga on February 14, 1769. The city was founded on November 10, 1903 by James Fenton as a result of the partnership between him and Harnon Waddell. Edward Doheny and his brother-in-law Manuel Miranda developed most of the land that makes up today's town. In 1916, Mexican officials decided that all land west of Interstate 5 should be annexed into Mexico City because of an increase in immigration from that direction. This decision severed Paradise from its native community and caused much social unrest. Despite this strife, however, many people continued to live there until after World War II when it became part of American society again. The history of Paradise dates back to at least 6500 BC when man could still see signs of life in these hillsides including arrowheads and footprints left by ancient Indians. It wasn't until 1850 that Spanish explorers discovered gold near modern day downtown Santa Ana and began mining there for years before finally leaving with their treasure in 1859. From here early settlers came: Father Francisco Palou (1775-1848), Don José Agustín Hurtado (1801-1872), José Antonio Orozco (18211873), Manuel Miranda y Costilla (1814-1893) among others . By 1871 only about 20 families lived within a radius of half a mile from downtown Santa Ana due to difficulty finding food or water during tough times following Gold Rush days when prices for goods skyrocketed thanks to competition from abroad . Many Of these pioneer families continue living around today's old central square whereFenton Avenue meets Broadway/Irvin Road . There are also several mission churches located throughout town including Our Lady Of La Purisima Church on Mission Street next door to old schoolhouse #2; St Joseph's Cathedral on Elm Street between Broadway/Irvin Road and Fenton Ave.; Our Lady Of Guadalupe Parish Church on Canoga Avenue east side of Main Street ; Blessed Sacrament Parish School building across Giannini Boulevard south side from main library; Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church - Northridge Chapel - just beyond corner streetlight off Ventura Blvd., just past security gate WWW Googlemaps ) In 1868 Juan Esteban Flores arrived with his family seeking passage northward across America on some sort of trading vessel called La Trinidad which never reached its destination but may have sailed into Canada instead based upon this discovery During this era wagon trains would often stop at various places along route Midland Mail route such as Nacimiento Ferry Landing , Hastings Ferry landing etc.) For those passengers not lucky enough to make it over the border alive another option existed if they wanted transportation back home built by Native Americans known as corrals or wagons depending upon their location like Sahuarita Pass where there were three such locations Rancho Los Cerritos 2 miles northwest corner Almaden Adobe Rd., Chico crossing point with Coyote Creek then two miles northeast corner San Vicente Adobe Rd., Paso Robles crossing point with Willow Creek then one mile southeast corner Elsinore Crossing point ). It was said that any journey northward required passage through these areas so travelers had little choice other than trusting their luck whatever happened along the way Although difficult going even for those who made it thru some pages full of pictures here are just a few select ones taken during my recent visit) A very brief timeline illustrating key events leading up to present time can be found HERE
In 1847, the United States acquired what is now Paradise, California from Spain for $16 million. The area was part of the Mexican state of Alta California and had been under Spanish control since 1795. The town of Yountville was founded in 1848 as a result of land grants given to American citizens by Mexico City. In 1850, gold was discovered in the area and soon after, Yountville became a major mining center.
