Pacifica is a town in Inyo County, California. The population was 2,522 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of Mono Lake, between Bishop and Lone Pine Counties. The town's name comes from "Prairie View A&M University", which is adjacent to the town on the eastern edge of Mono Lake. Pacifica was annexed by Bishop in 1911 and by Lone Pine in 1912. The first post office at Pacifica opened on July 11, 1884, under the name "Bishop". The current post office building was built in 1925 and replaced an earlier structure that burned down in 1929. "Pacifica" has been used as a place name for various other places throughout its history: In 1911, Pacifica became part of the newly formed Inyo County when it was added to Bishop. The county seat moved from White Sands to Yucca Valley in 1912 following annexation by Bishop. In 1924, new construction began on what would become the presentPost Office Building at Pacifica; this building replaced an earlier structure that had burned down just two years prior. This building still stands today and is one of only a few buildings remaining from original Pacifica development dating back to 1884-1885

It is interesting to note that this type of holster wasn't actually used until after World War II whenHolster manufacturers began producing "Olympic" style holsters which were specifically designed for use in World War II theater gunfire competitions During World War I, handguns were not yet commonly available to civilians so most people relied on revolvers which were much larger and harder to carry than common shotguns or pistols. As handguns became more common during World War II they began being produced in greater numbers so it was only natural that designers begin developing new holsters for these larger firearms such as 1911 pistols Many handgun companies existed throughout the 1920s and 1930s including: Colt (1923), Smith & Wesson (1929), Remington (1930), Ruger(1932), Hogue(1933), Browning(1934). These companies developed various types of holsters including shoulder-fired pistols such as the Colt Python submachinegun (1899) and Springfield Armory 1911 pistol (.45 ACP) . The first European visitors to what is now Pacifica were Spanish missionaries in 1777-78 when they landed onsite at Point Reyes Station near today's Balboa Park (Galloway 1978). Missionaries quickly realized that this undeveloped corner of San Francisco Bay had great potential for farming due to its rich soil and isolation from other settlements onthe Peninsula (Flamm 2000). After establishing a small rancho here, Father Junípero Serra began building churches, schools, hospitals - all important components of his evangelical mission throughout muchof California - beginning in 1788. At Point Reyes Station he erected one of only three remaining stone buildings still standing onshore within present day metropolitanSanFrancisco’s limits today: Santa Clara Cathedral’s parish hall which served as Church headquarters until 1847; Government House which housed administration offices including jail cells for criminals awaiting trial; barracks for troops quartered at Fort Mason until 1865 when they were transferred across Golden Gate Bridge into Oakland; Salesian Fathers built StIgnatius Loyola High School (now Holy Cross Catholic High School) in 1895 which remains one of NorthernCalifornia’s most prominent educational institutions today . In 1902 Captain Charles Wainwright discovered oil wells offshore off Point Reyes Station while commanding UDT 521 underutilized informercial assets assigned by Admiral Chester Nimitz Jr., Commander Fleet Forces Western Atlantic During World War II “Wainwright interpreted Japan’s refusal [to allow] our patrols off her coasts as evidence that she possessed significant submarine capabilities…He decided then that we must investigate these allegations”(Herrera 2002 pg 25) Wainwright leased his discovery rights back to Kaiser Wilhelm AG Petroleum Co., Ltd., but never developed them because Kaiser Wilhelm had difficulty finding buyers willing to invest money into exploration so close to Japan where submarines could be hidden undetected(Morgenthau 1976 pg 364-365) With no new discovery being made off Point Reyes Island until 1951 by Sooamish Oil Company & Sons Ltd.; Aventura Offshore Drilling began operations nearby adjacent approximately 8 miles southwest shoreline on Jan 15 1957 ; By 1970 Aventura Drilling was operating 4 rigs totaling 709 gross tons per day with some 9 million barrels produced ) ................. According to Klein 2003 pg 142-143 "Aventura Drilling stopped production about 1975" .......
