Today's park includes over 16 miles (25 km) of hiking and biking trails through rolling hills and forested areas; two waterfalls; two picnic areas; three lakes; five golf courses; and nine residences including four presidential homes during various periods since it opened to the public in 1961: Don Wahlquist House Museum & Research Center with its collection related to ranching history and culture, Presidential Palace Open House where President Reagan toured on October 15–16, 1984/5 during his first term as Governor of California, Presidential Mansion Museum & Research Center again with its collection related to ranching history and culture under Presidents Nixon (1974-1981), George H Bush (1989-1993), Bill Clinton (1999-2001), George W Bush (2005-2009) This ranchlands are now used by local farmers for grazing animals such as cattle, sheep, goats and pigs while some buildings have been preserved or renovated into museum exhibits like Don Wahlquist House Museum & Research Center while others have been demolished or converted into other uses such as new housing developments nearby called "Wahlquist Ranch Estates". Outdoors there are several tennis courts that can be used year round along with several playgrounds for children from pre school up through grade 12., plus many caves dotting this rugged landscape giving life to these hillsides

The post office at Point Reyes Station was established in 1897, but no town came into being until 1907 when officials decided to name a small town after Father Junipero Serra as part of a larger plan to improve communication between Sonoma County and Marin County. In 1914-15, during World War I, local farmers produced hay for munitions production; this led to growth in the community over time as other activities replaced hay production such as manufacturing cheese and fruits for local markets or exporting crops such as grapes to Southern California outlets. More recently commercial fishing has become an important industry with basin area producing more than 100 seafood species from 34 varieties of fish found there alone including striped bass, bluefin tuna, Mako sharks and white-tip reef sharks. Today's Pacific Grove features shops, restaurants and bars along with public parks that include Stinson Beach Open Space Preserve which offers views of Half Moon Bay from atop Highway 101 overlooking downtown Santa Cruz; an unusual feature because most open spaces are dedicated to agriculture or nature observation instead.
Pacific Grove is a census-designated place in Santa Clara County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 7,851. The name comes from the Pacific Ocean and the grove of trees near it.
