Orinda is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States. The population was 56,844 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city by population within Contra Costa County after Pleasanton. Orinda borders Vallejo to the east and Richmond to the west. The first gun cleaning establishment in Orinda was established in 1892 by Wm. Clements with his business name of "Clements' Machine Shop." Arapahoe Arsenal Ammunition Company opened its doors on November 15, 1911 and became one of Orinda's earliest employers when it moved from Denver to open up shop there. Jerry Dye's Gunsmithing & Firearms Store followed suit two years later on December 6th 1912. In 1915, The Winchester Repeating Arms Company arrived in town and reopened their firearms store as The Winchester Armory. It remains an active firearms store today with over 115 employees! From 1922-1967, local attorney Leroy Sweeny operated Roybal & Sweeny Law Office located at 237 North Main Street across from the old armory which still stands today ( now known as Meyers College ). In 1969, Wacoal Manufacturing Corporation moved its operations out oftown into proprietorship under then-Presidential candidate Richard Nixon’s orders because they were concerned about potential communist infiltration into America through “Operation Chaos” – a secret plan laid down by then-National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger that aimed to disrupt American political life during the height of Watergate Crisis . Nixon ordered all businesses located within 1 mile (2 km) of White House to close their doors for six months or face closure themselves! However, this order was not implemented fully because some companies such as Procter & Gamble who had manufacturing plants outside of Washington D.C., chose not to follow suit . In response to increasing violence in America due to drugs and gangs becoming more powerful than ever before, President Gerald Ford authorized the United States Postal Service (USPS) to begin providing stamps bearing messages about crime prevention on all mailbags sent inside or outside America . This program eventually became known as “Good Times Stamp” due to its effectiveness at reducing crime rates throughout America! Between 1978-1981—the first year that Postmaster General William Jankiewicz guidance mandated use of computerized stamp cataloging systems nationwide—-the number of registered guns sold nationwide increased from 5861 units per day in 1977 thereto 9253 units per day in 1981!!! This increase can be partially attributed back home where NRA member Phil Weiser created Gun Digest Publications Incorporated which published an annual magazine called "American Rifleman" between 1951-1997 which helped contribute heavily towards these numbers!!! Since 1978 when Postmaster General John Estrada began using digital stamp cataloging systems nationwide thru his efforts——gun sales have decreased drastically only reaching levels last seen prior TO THE GREAT CRISIS OF 2009!!!!! As mentioned earlier—-during those same years firearm registrations increased by almost 50%!!! Nevertheless——in 2001 gun sales decreased once againSETTING A RECORD THAT HAS NOT BEEN REPEATED EVER!!!!

Ladd in 1957 to promote outdoor recreation and research in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains east of San Francisco. The town started as an agricultural outpost on the banks of the Sacramento River and grew slowly throughout its history due to its remote location and lack of transportation options. In 1916, Orinda was incorporated as a city when it annexed sections of Livermore and Niles from Colma. By 1950, however, Orinda had only 2,500 residents and its growth stalled again until 1990 when it annexed nearby unincorporated communities of Kensington and Walnut Creek. The city's current size is 7 miles long by 4 miles wide with a total population of 12,362 people as of 2010
