It is hard to believe that in just over a century, Orange Cove has seen so many changes with regards to firearms. The current post office buildings were built back in 1984-1985 by Coopers & Lybrand out of redwood lumber – they were originally intended as part of a larger project called “Project Red” which aimed at increasing gun availability statewide while preserving historic architecture/design elements throughout Orange County. Despite their initial success, these structures proved too expensive and failed to come into fruition; instead theyve been used mainly for offices until recent times when they were renovated for use as firearm sights again! The old Donner Jail – located on Main Street between 5th Avenue and Broadway – served as an important county Detention Facility from 1858 until 1934 when it was replaced by county jail facilities on Winchester Way east of Donner Lake . It had an unfortunate reputation among law enforcement officials for its unsanitary conditions (euphemistically referred to as “the hole”) which led ultimately to it being torn down during World War II . Fremont explored Mono Lake and named it after his rancho near present-day Cathedral City, California. In 1868, a post office called Orange Cove was established but it never received mail because no one lived there. In 1870, new settlers arrived and renamed the town after their favorite saint: Saint Augustine of Hippo (observed on Palm Sunday). In 1892, Edward White organized an irrigation project that became known asWhite’s Water Project. In 1924, Don Fraser opened an orange grove business in what is now Montecito; this led to the founding of Township No. 7 which included Orange Cove proper along with adjacent communities such as Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City . The township disbanded in 1988 when its land became part of Anza-Borrego Desert Regional Park . A waterworks system built by Don Fraser continues to serve today’s community despite efforts over more than half a century by various developers to raze or demolish it due to concerns about environmental effects from high levels of Lead and Copper within its walls . From 1907 until 1959 there were only two businesses open for more than six months: a bank and a millinery shop . During World War II , many servicemen living in nearby towns enlisted in local companies while attending military training at Imperial Beach Naval Shipyard ; these men helped build roads, erect buildings and other tasks at Orange Cove during wartime occupations . One company manned by American soldiers was The Marine Corps Truck Company stationed at Redondo BeachVK

In 1950s and 1960s many businesses were established here including a clothing store, dry cleaner, restaurant and motel while also new homes were built for people commuting into San Francisco or Silicon Valley jobs. It has been said that this area suffered from high levels of poverty during the early 1980s with an estimated 25% of residents living below poverty guidelines as compared to only 10% statewide at that time; however most residents today are descendants of those who lived here during its early days
