And that’s exactly what happened on October 25, 1966, when four people were killed in a shooting at an amusement park. It would be more than two decades before another such tragedy would occur in Oceanside – but that doesn’t mean this municipality had forgotten about the events of that fateful day. In fact, local residents continue to vividly remember the atrocity which left four innocent people dead. One of the first things Oceanside did after learning about the fatalities was to organize a public inquest into the incident. The inquest allowed citizens to share their thoughts and feelings on what could have been done differently in order to prevent such tragedies from happening again. Over time, other tragedies have also led to increased scrutiny of holsters industry in America – but nothing has ever come close to bringing back those lost lives like the shootings at Six Flags amusement park on October 25, 1966. It features an extended barrel restraint strap which prevents gun misfire by limiting how far down the barrel the firearm can move before being stopped by law enforcement officials. Oceanside is located on the eastern coast of San Diego Bay and has a total area of 15 square miles (41 km²). It is bounded by National City to the north, Carlsbad Caverns National Park to the east, Qualcomm Stadium to the south and Mission Valley to the west. The first Europeans to visit what is now Oceanside were Spanish soldiers who landed on San Diego Bay in 1769. They named it Laguna de la Jolla because there was no outlet for the water that poured into Point Loma from inland wetlands. In 1821, Mexico won its independence from Spain and decided that Mexican territory extended beyond what is now Orange County. So Mexico acquired land east of Point Loma which became part of Oceanside. On July 25, 1882, scenes of violence between American settlers and Mexicans led Commodore John D'Entremont's squadron of United States Navy ships searching for smugglers off Point Loma fire upon three Mexican vessels anchored off shore – one carrying passengers and two with goods valued at $1 million each – thus starting Coast Guard duties in this area. In 1907, when OR Tamarack Oil Company drilled into an oil well near today's Midway Ranch beachhead on Southern Leyland Boulevard just over 1 mile offshore from shoreline,[2] Occidental Petroleum leased approximately 22% ofshore well site from US Naval Base issues calendar year 1912[3]. A potential gas discovery was found during production tests but no gas released until 1975 when Orinda Services Co., Inc., then Occidental Petroleum Partnership drilled successful vertical wells downhole (an event still celebrated annually as "Gas Drilling Day" by many locals).[4][5][6] The original drill hole had an estimated natural gas reserve (@midwater) equal to about 8 million barrels[7] before encountered difficulty due geological features including significant mudstones/dunams that restricted access along our faulted salt Fault Zone; drilling stopped short due sand saturation limit; also included Pliocene-era fault zone intrusive rocks unique within coastal Salinas Basin.[8][9] As part of Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) purchase agreement dated 2/9/2007 for sale or lease component lot(s) adjacent parcel(s), Island Ranch Club Neighbors LLC sold ten acre tract located immediately northeast corner said lot(s) being offered subject thereto consisting essentiallyof: an easement right-of-way extending seawardly across tide flats adjoining tract beginning at point where tide flats intersect Santa Ysabel Way thence northeasterly along Santa Ysabel Way easterly across tidal flats lying just inside US Naval Base security perimeter thence easterlyalongsecurityperimetertoIslandRanchClubNeighbors LLC LotCorner
