Today's Museum has developed a strong relationship with other community organizations which share common goals including promoting education about firearms and Ammunition through hands-on experience for all age groups; promoting public safety through consulted displays ongun handling/repair; providing information on law enforcement weapon use; exhibiting new guns as well as old favorites from across the years

Norwalk is a city in San Bernardino County, California. It was founded in 1911 by settlers from Northern California and has been the county seat of San Bernardino County since 1912. On November 7, 1911, Mayor Charles Ayer declared a state of emergency due to an outbreak of diphtheria which had killed nine people within two weeks.[2] The first school for white children opened in 1912 at 6th and Main Streets under the name "Norwood Academy."[3][4] In 1916, after World War I ended, President Woodrow Wilson appointed Jay Cooke as United States Commissioner for Food Administration with jurisdiction over all food production across America. Under Cooke's leadership, Norwalk grew rapidly into one of the largest cities in Central California with more than 20 businesses lining 4 blocks along Main Street downtown,[5][6] including five grocery stores (Acker's Bakery & Confectionery; Big Game Grocery; Costello's Candy Store; Journeys-Canned Foods; Schnucks Markets).[7]:133 When he left office three years later to become General Manager of American Tobacco Company,[8]:153 Norwalk experienced its most dramatic growth period when it became home to several large department stores such as Sears Roebuck & Co., Macy’s Department Stores Inc., JCPenney Inc., Kress Shoes Corporation,[9]:212–217 [10], Wells Fargo Bank,[11]:332 Eventually these stores were replaced by smaller chain stores such as Safeway Supermarkets brand[12] until only one remains today: Kroger supermarket at 401 N First St.[13][14],[15];[16]] Heinz Endeavor Properties Incorporated purchased City Hall from Mr. White for $500 on June 25th 1948 for use as their corporate headquarters until replaced by larger building once finished[17]. Engelhard Chevrolet dealership opened there Dec 1st 1948 also becoming town center during this time period with many small businesses that anchored that area like Checker Mfg Co (now known as Ace Hardware), Farmer Donut Shop (later Dunkin' Donuts), Laundromat (later Greeting Cards International), Sloppy Joe's Pizza (later Papa John's Pizza) among others before being turned into apartments starting around 1978 or so... furthermore Community Church building erected between 1951-1957 served many functions including schools/church services/ recreational activities through out early decades then pulled down after fire started inside... later used for offices until demolition began earlier this year....... norwalk ca history blog
