Gun magazines have been around for over a hundred years and their history in Norwalk, California can be traced back to 1885. The first gun magazine in Norwalk was the "Norwalk Rifle and Pistol Club", which was founded on February 17, 1885. The club met at the home of Dr. John A. Sutter, who also owned a rifle store. The "Norwalk Rifle and Pistol Club" is one of the earliest organizations to provide shooting services to the community. From its inception, the club provided instruction in all aspects of firearms including target shooting, shotguns, pistols and rifles. In 1912, the club became known as "The Norwalk Rifle and Pistol Club-Norwalk". It continued to operate as a firearm society until it disbanded in 1916 due to lack of membership. In 1924, another gun society called "The Norwalk Shotgunners" was formed in honor of Captain James Fenton Welch (1863-1925). Captain Welch was an American Civil War veteran who had served with Company K of the 24th Infantry Regiment during the battle at Bull Run Bridge on April 6, 1862. After his discharge from military service he rejoined his unit and helped lead them through the battle that resulted in Union victory over Confederate forces. Among many other accomplishments during Captain Welch's lifetime were being elected mayor of Norwalk three times (1911-13; 1925-27; 1929), serving as vice president of City Hall from 1923 until his death in 1925, and being awarded an honorary degree by Fairfield University in 1922. Captain Welch's life legacy will be most remembered for his donation of $5 million dollars towards building nor walk high school which was established in 1966 together with then Mayor Edson Fahey Jr..Captain Welch is currently recognized as one of nor walk's most generous donors however his donations go beyond just philanthropy; he has also been instrumental in helping promote gun safety education throughout town through various programs such as sponsoring lectures by top firearms experts from around the world at local colleges and universities while also providing financial support for numerous city projects related to crime prevention including Gang crackdowns conducted every year on Father's Day weekend!

Norwalk is a city in Santa Clara County, California, United States. The population was 46,987 at the 2010 census. It is the sixth largest city in Santa Clara County and the third largest city in California after San Francisco and Los Angeles. The area that would become Norwalk was first settled by Native American tribes who called it Wappinger Creek after their river origin. The town name may come from "Newark" which was once a small village near Newark, Delaware. When the railroad reached Norwalk in 1887, builders of the tracks named it for Newark's mayor-elect John Ahern (1865-1929). Ahern's namesake hometown in Ireland also had its own railway station on the line. In 1912, construction began on what would become Northeastern Avenue and Chico Boulevard - both now Main Street - connecting downtown with east side streets. The townspeople were so pleased with this development that they adopted a new official name: Norwalk City Limits". Norwalk became incorporated as a city on December 15, 1916 following passage of an act by the state legislaturewhich provided for municipal incorporation whenSanta Clara County was divided into three districts; downtown business district; south central district; and north central district which included parts of present-day Fremont, Hayward, Union City and San Jose. On July 1st 1923 amendments to city charter changed its name to Norwalk City

However, recent investments by developers have brought about some revitalization efforts in the city center and new businesses are beginning to reopened in downtown Norwalk.

Moffett, and became one of the most important cultural and commercial centers in Orange County during the 20th century. The town was destroyed by fire in 1948 and rebuilt with new structures including a library, post office, and other municipal buildings.
