Norco is a city in Butte County, California, United States. The population was 6,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Norco was founded in 1887 by John Sutter and James Braidwood as a small farming community on the north flank of Yuba Mountains, about 12 miles (19 km) east of Sacramento. In 1913, Norco became an incorporated town with a population of 730. Norco grew rapidly during World War II due to its proximity to military installations and its ample production of munitions and other materials for war. The city had a population growth rate of 20% from 1940 to 1960; however, this increased pace began to tapered off after the war ended. In 2000, Norco annexed parts of Shasta County which had been lost in the 2000 census boundary changes that were made pursuant to Proposition 65. As part of this annexation process, Norco also gained access to state-owned land located east of Interstate 5 that formerly belonged to Redding and Visalia. This newly acquired land has helped spur development in adjacent areas such as Citrus Heights and Roseville since it provides natural resources such as water storage tanks and agricultural fields for local farmers without having to go through lengthy permitting procedures or building permits
The first rifles were designed for hunting game, and the earliest scopes were designed for this purpose. The first scopes were made of wood, with glass lenses. The design of the scope changed in 1827 when James Fenton developed a new type of rifle telescope that used two lenses to view the target at close range. This scope was called an “telescope as a weapon” and it was very successful. It was not until 1858 that Richard Newton developed a scope that used metal mirrors instead of glass to view the target at close range. This new type of Scope became known as a Newtonian Telescope. The development of this new type of RifleScope went hand in hand with the development of gunpowder propellants which allowed guns to be fired faster and farther than ever before. With better sniper orrange rifles, hunters could now take down large animals much closer than ever before. In 1876, Julius Czaristo submitted his original designs for Rifle Scopes to America’s most prestigious rifle magazine, American Rifleman. American Rifleman accepted these designs andintroduced them into production in 1877 under the name “Millet-Richardson riflescopes”. These scopes were soon being referred to as “classics” because they had been so successful and remained in use until virtually all modern firearms were fitted with optical devices by 2000 years ago!

Today, most people know about norco because of their wines; however, there are many non-Wine producing businesses in town that also have something to do with wine such as The Grapesvine Nursery and Bakery which produces figs and other basketry items; The Boddington's Ice Cream Factory which makes ice cream from grapes grown on site; or simply from being next door to one of California's largest wineries!
