Knives were first used in the Morgan Hill area over a period of more than one hundred years. The earliest knives that have been discovered date back to 1848 and are located at the old Half Moon Cemetery. There are also several blades found dating back to 1865 that were excavated at the nearby Milliken site.
Morgan Hill, located in Contra Costa County, California, is a small city of over 26,000 people on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay. The population was estimated to be around 38,000 in 2018. Morgan Hill is the home of Google’s headquarters and other businesses including Facebook and Amazon. It has a diverse range of cultures and religions found throughout its communitas. The Morgan Hill area was first settled by Native Americans who hunted and traded with the Spanish in Mission San José de los Arroyos before coming under American control in 1846. The city was founded on a hill that had been used for grazing since before Californio land east of it was granted to Europeans for Rancho Diablo de las Pulgas (the Rancho Seco). A post office called Morgan Hill was established at the site in 1876, but no town began to form until 1882 when two men from Stockton built a store there. In 1908 Mayor John Fenton announced plans for an electric power plant near what is now Hearst Park; however this proposal never got off the ground due to lack of funds. By 1909 Morgan Hill had started to grow rapidly as a result of new housing developments being constructed overlooking downtown and soon became one of the most important cities within Contra Costa County. Growth stalled after World War II as factories moved out west while jobs vanished inside Morgan Hill due to automation technologies such as television production plants and telemarketing operations moving inland into Silicon Valley or Sacramento etc., leaving little opportunity for locals to make money outside their homes through services like cooking or cleaning which were then provided by hired help instead. However growth recommenced following the acquisition by Google of nearby farmland that included access to Highway 680 which led directly into downtown from Point Richmond BART Station making Morgan Hill one stop away from Silicon Valley where many tech companies are based today – giving it another boost leading up to its centennial year in 2021! This growth has led some residents concerned about traffic congestion on main thoroughfares like Castro Street or Market Street despite efforts by city officials to improve transportation options like bike lanes or adding more buses connecting Downtown with nearby neighborhoods like Pleasanton/Lake Merritt etc.. But overall things seem generally stable given that local government can only do so much without taxpayer funded subsidies! A recent study indicating that 36% percent of adults living in rural Contra Costa counties lack access either full-time work or affordable housing shows just how difficult it can be for these families when they have no choice but live close enough together that commuting becomes an ordeal even though they may have adjacent property values! In short, while there are definite challenges faced by residents every day – such as long wait times at transit stops – it also seems safe to say that things are actually improving thanks largely to significant investment made locally by our government institutions!

Morgan Hill is an unincorporated community in Alameda County, California, United States. It is located on the east side of the San Francisco Bay Area and has a population of about 10,000 people. The town was named after one of its founders, John Morgan. The first permanent settler in Morgan Hill was Nicholas Biddle in 1847. He and his wife had married into a wealthy Monterey County family. From these beginnings there were many small businesses and families that lived and worked in Morgan Hill for years before it became an incorporated town. In 1912, Raymond Pettibone bought 5 acres (2 ha) of land at the junction of Highway 101 and State Route 24A which would become the nucleus for what is now Morgan Hill Station. Pettibone built a small cabin here as part of his experimental station to study weather patterns over longer periods of time than could be obtained by observing from hills or buildings. The Pettibone Cabin still stands today on McClure Drive just south of SR 24A off Interstate 880.. In 1914 he also founded Pettibone-Higgins Corp., later known as Hewlett-Packard Co., with headquarters in Berkeley Heights within walking distance of his new research station complex on Milpitas Boulevard near Interstate 280.. The first post office was established at Morgan Hill in 1896 by Wm Laddington with two rooms inside an old fruit stand on Main Street. Mrs. Laddington served as both Postmaster and First Class Mail Carrier until she retired in 1952 when her son took over this responsibility; however, Mrs. Laddington continued to serve as patron saint for the town until her death some years later.According to "History Of Alameda County" Volume IV:1920-1940 by Julius Vogel pages 504-505 The population growth rates during World War II were much higher than average due to military production throughout Northern California which increased demand for housing available close to jobs sites such asenterprises like Lockheed Aircraft Corporation's plant down Congress Avenue near freeway exits 4thStreetand 7thStreetin downtown Oakland.Oakland Tribune article dated Sep 12 1944 However, local churches successfully lobbied against building housing developments around those war plants because they feared that these areas would eventually become concentrations of blackabalanced labor gangs called “Japs”.City Limits report No 9 07/1945 p 17
