In addition, Moraga has also been home to several important festivals which have helped bring attention to its unique culture including the San Francisco Folk Festival (2007), CoyoteCon (2011),and LACMA's "Big Data" exhibition (2015).

The first post office in Moraga was established in 1857, and the town's first store opened in 1865. The Moraga post office closed in 1942. The Moraga Agricultural Society was formed in 1915 and has been instrumental in promoting agricultural production throughout the community. The society also provides education on related topics to promote healthy living practices within the community. Moraga is known for its annual California State Fair, held each year at the Moraga Civic Centergrounds.
