The history of gun chokes is a long and tangled one. A variety of devices have been used to restrict the ability of shooters to fire their firearms, including stocks, handcuffs, and even drones. One of the earliest choke devices was the type called a “cord”. This device consisted of an unifunctional piece of metal or cloth that was used to restrain someone’s breathing by passing through his nose and mouth in opposite directions. The cord could also be employed as a barrier between shooter and target. Cord choke guns were common during the 1800s, but they were quickly replaced by other types of devices. From the late 1800s until World War II, shotguns were the most popular firearm in America. Shotgun chokes were designed to prevent shooters from firing too many rounds at once and resulted in some very high-pressure cartridges being able to pass through Glock pistols without causing damage or injury. Shotgun barrels became Snubnose-type designs after 1911 which narrowed the bore diameter so that larger rounds such as .38 Special would not pass through easily while still inflicting significant damage on targets at close ranges. By World War II, handguns had become more popular than shotguns in America, so new handgun chokes had to be developed specifically for them (e.g., Walker Combat Choke). Pistol barrel choke designs continued into the post-war era but became increasingly less common because handguns were now fired with much smaller calibers (i.e., 9mm Parabellum). Gun chokes remain an important part of modern shooting techniques, particularly when using handguns that are chambered in multi-caliber formats (such as .45 ACP).

Moraga is a small town in Sacramento County, California, United States. The population was 1,353 at the 2010 census. Moraga is located on the banks of the Moraga River and bordered by east Contra Costa County to the north and south, Placer County to the west and east, and San Joaquin Valley to the southeast. It lies about 27 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento. The first Europeans to visit what is now Moraga were Spanish soldiers who explored this area in 1542-1543. They named it Pueblo de las Aguas (Pueblo of Waters), after their discovery of an abundant water supply in this part of present day California. Mission San Francisco de Asís was founded here in 1797 by Father José Ferrer as a mission for Native Americans including Ohlone Indians and Mission Dolores Indian Mission near modern-day Hercules. In 1821 Californios signed a treaty ceding land east of the Moraga River to Mexico which included this community. Mexican ownership ended with American entry into World War II; when that territory became part of the United States following victory over Japan in 1945, many Mexicans moved into what had been American towns such as Stockton and Tracy while others built new homes near current-day Moraga on parcels they acquired during postwar Reconstruction. In 1951 Atherton Corporation developed a large deep well storage tank at South Park Reservoir adjacent to present day North Park Drive in anticipation of increased groundwater supplies brought about by irrigation from nearby reservoirs following heavy rains during 1950–1951 Although initially successful Atherton went bankrupt due largely to overspending continued even after Lessons learned from its experience with groundwater development led BHP Billiton Natural Resources Company (BNR) subsidiary Western HYdride Company Incorporated (WHD) within 5 years to develop Orinda Canyon Water Storage Project reducing reliance upon surface waters for supplying Drinking water for 400,000 people living inside cities limits as required by state law although environmental pressure continues today 600 residential uses include agricultural use 366 jobs are supported related directly or indirectly through scores services provided these include: street painting; pumping; hydraulic fracturing; maintenance operations associated with oil production no open Pit fracking until recently announced will result in 8 jobs loss Buried Hydrocarbons! Moraga is a small town located in the northwestern corner of California. Situated on the Kern River, it has been inhabited by Native Americans for over three hundred years. The first Europeans to arrive in Moraga were the Spanish, who discovered the river and its estuary in 1542. For many years, Moraga was part of Rancho San Antonio de Bakersfield, one of twelve ranchos that formed the Mexican province of Alta California. In 1853, when Mexico became a republic, Moraga became part of United States territory as well. The town was founded on May 25th, 1863 by William Haggerty and his family following their return from exploring the Kern River region. Over time, Moraga grew rapidly due to its location and natural resources. By 1902, it had a population of over 1,500 people. In 1916, Moraga was renamed after General José María Morelos y Costilla who died during fighting at Tejas Creek near Yuma City Arizona Territory following a military campaign against Villa Sanchez regime there. The town has experienced some significant changes throughout its history including numerous fires which have destroyed much property; an influx of Japanese immigrants during World War II; and most recently prominent construction projects such as the revitalization of downtown Moraga which began in 2001 and has since brought new life to the city center. Despite these obstacles however, Moraga continues to growivist with strong community spirit which has helped make it a popular tourist destination among locals and visitors alike.
Moraga County is located in the southern California region near San Francisco. It was formed on March 12, 1849 from parts of Contra Costa and Sacramento counties. The county's name comes from the Spanish word for "mockery" or "to ridicule."
