The history of weapon flashlights begins with the light that was used to guide hunters and farmers through the night. The first flashlight, called a “pumpkin lantern”, was created in 1858 by John James Audubon. Moorpark is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. Moorpark is located on the edge of the Mojave Desert about 30 miles (48 km) east of downtown San Bernardino and about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Los Angeles. It lies within the Pomona–Arroyo Grande Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "Moorpark" comes from two Mexican words meaning "mountain peak." The first reference was made in 1872 when John Wesley Powell visited the town during his investigation of Lake Mohawk Valley; he called it "Blythe Mountain" after his wife's family home in nearby Blythewood, California. A second reference to Moorpark appeared in an article written by J.D. Power and Associates for their report on American Automobiles for 1935, which noted that both Moorpark and Claremont had become centers of automotive production due to new highways being built near them: "Claremont Motorsports Park ... has been added to our list as one of America’s leading auto plants [...] It should be noted that this plant is now under construction and will soon furnish many Chevrolet cars." In 1937, Don English became president of General Motors Corporation's Southern California District; throughout his tenure, English worked with fellow GM executive Edward Jones to develop plans for what would become later known as Northridge – a suburb outside Los Angeles adjacent to then-motorcycle-manufacturing center El Monte – so that Northern Californians could also access Southern California's high quality manufactures without traveling far interstate or down twisting mountain roads. Jones oversaw developments like Henry Kaiser's old Western Springs Armoury Building becoming Southland Plaza mall and much later First Interstate Avenue becoming Getty Center Boulevard; all this while commuting into downtown LA every day through 5 freeways - I-10/I-14/I-215/I-5 - making him one of only a handful of people in history who has managed such comprehensive redevelopment within living memory. In January 1957, General Motors Corporation moved its corporate headquarters from Flint Hills outside Phoenixville Pennsylvania to Arlington Heights Illinois before relocating again (now Springfield Township), Illinois three years later; this event marked the beginning ofGM's move from Detroit Michigan towards an centralized organizational structure across numerous manufacturing sites around the world by way of Windows Mill Research Laboratories southeast suburban Chicago area which was designated as Headquarters Technical Services Division facility serving Corporate Technical Department staff components located throughout Manufacturing Operations including Research & Development Section product development functions located at various facilities worldwide Headquarters Administrative Offices were relocated from Elk Grove Village IL location previously served by International Telephone & Telegraph Company renamed Western Electric Company renamed National Broadcasting System Incorporated five years earlier September 15th 1948 Ghost Town USA post WW II era

Moorpark is a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It was founded in 1887 by William Moor, and became an incorporated city in 1955. The population was 25,000 as of 2018. Moorpark is located within the East Bay Municipal District of Oakland, east of its original settlement on the banks of the San Ramon River. Moorpark’s history can be traced back to 1887 when William Moor settled in what is now Moorpark with his families. The first name for the town was “Hornet Landing” after a large group of hornets that nested near his property at that time. In 1905, when Moorpark became an incorporated city, it adopted its current name – which means “Happy Valley” because it had been so blessed by nature with plenty of timber and agricultural land. The downtown area retains much architecture from its early years including many buildings dating back to 1892 built by Charles Haddon Smith who served as Mayor from 1915-1920 and again from 1923-1929. Other notable buildings include The First National Bank (1893), Insurance Building (1911), Post Office (1896), Masonic Hall (1914) and City Hall (2005). Since 1955, when Moorpark became an annexed part of Oakland, there have been several significant changes take place within the community including growth in commercial activity due to easy access to Interstate 880 and new housing developments such as Radisson Plaza Hotel andOakland Oaks Apartments both completed in 2006 adjacent to Westshore Park which offers excellent views of downtown Oakland
Moorpark was founded in 1887 by George C. Moor and his wife Sarah. It is located in the San Gabriel Valley, about 25 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. The original name for the town was "Moor Park," but it became commonly known as Moorpark because of its location near a major citrus orchard on the border of Rancho Mirage and Moorpark. In 1915, civic groups working together purchased 1,000 acres (500 hectares) of land a few miles south of Moorpark along Interstate 10 and formed the "Los Angeles County Park District." In 1933, the county park district merged with other county agencies to become the present-day Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. On October 15, 1942, during World War II, Moorpark was incorporated as a city under California law. The population of Moorpark peaked at 22,000 in 1940; however, by 1951 it had decreased to 6,800 due to postwar migration and continued economic decline. However, during the 1970s and 1980s there was an increasing number of new residents moving into the town from nearby cities due to its easy access to freeway exits and good schools. On April 14th 2019 City Council voted unanimously that they would be annexing neighboring city Pomona into their city limits effective immediately!
