Moorpark, California is a town in the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California. It is located on the eastern edge of the city of Pasadena, and is west of downtown Los Angeles. Moorpark was originally founded as an agricultural community by Anglo-Americans in 1880. The population peaked at more than 30,000 in 1930, but has since decreased to around 17,000. He intended to develop it into a small city with a flour mill and two stores but soon realized that he could not do so alone - he needed help from others with similar interests to join him in his venture. So he organized what would come to be known as "Wolfe's Gang" - individuals who shared his vision for developing this new town: engineers, architects, builders, mechanics etcetera - all working together towards one common goal: creating a thriving community where everyone could prosper without any help from outside sources." Settlers started moving into town beginning in 1928; within two years some forty-five families had moved into their own homes . In 1930-1931the first post office opened ; within four years there were three banks providing banking services to residents . By 1936 there were six churches with ministers coming from as far away as San Francisco Valley (to pastor German Immigrants) vernacular speaking congregations sprang up around town including Odd Fellows hall which served as social center before being torn down during World War II . Within five years after Wolfe's founding (1928), MoorPark had achieved enough notoriety among Californians that president Franklin D Roosevelt called upon Congresswoman Eleanor Roosevelt to visit during his Great Depression presidency – her invitation led to economic development projects such as the relocation of electrical power converters from Shasta County eastward through Los Angeles County onto property owned by Wolfe – helping make possible the modern day downtown Mour Park skyline . Many veteran homeowners decided to rebuild their homes rather than move again since they could still enjoy them while they lasted-an example that can be seen throughout much of Southern California during this time period as many veterans chose not to fight in World War II but instead focus on rebuilding post-war society following its devastation
