Montclair, California is a city located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. It is the 9th most populous city in the United States and the second most populous city in California. The population of Montclair was over 97,000 as of 2010. The City of Montclair has been home to a variety of target shooters throughout its history. The first Targetshooting Club was organized on October 20, 1876 by three men: George Dehner, John Crouch and Wm. Leland Beal at Atherton Park behind Mr. Fenton’s grocery store. The club met there until 1892 when they moved to Brown Street between Third and Fourth Streets which became their permanent home. In 1892-1893, James Hutton organized an open air shooting championship for children from Montclair which was won by his son Harry Hutton Jr.. That same year also saw the first state championships held at Montclair with wins for both pistols (45 caliber) and rifles (7mm). At that time rifle competitions were only for boys while handguns were still considered “girl” events by many people in America at that time! On July 6, 1896 Charles Burchill opened his first gun shop in town which became known as The Rifle Shop on Main Street where he sold firearms including revolvers and shotguns to residents of Montclair as well as surrounding communities such as Redwood City, Emeryville and Milpitas. From 1898-1902 Jens Petersen ran a battery pistol range out back of his house on Second Avenue near Broadway Boulevard where he would give demonstrations on how to shoot pistols using live ammunition with targets placed close together on a long barrel weaved course providing challenge for anyone who wanted to try it out! In 1902-1903 Jens Petersen moved his ranges across country selling targets through mail order starting from Fort Worth Texas before moving back to Santa Clara County where he died five years later after setting up four more ranges including one at Menlo Park CA! During this time period other target shooters began popping up all over America such as Frank Epperson who opened his own gun shop just south of San Francisco in 1903 followed by Harry Elmer Barnes who started building targets himself soon after moving from New York City - now considered one of the pioneers in target shooting history! All these guys were doing it different but all sharing something similar; making Targetshooting accessible and fun for everyone! In 1928 new president Franklin D Roosevelt chose Monterrey Mexico as host city for the International Exposition features called World Fair “An American Adventure” which brought millions into town including many professionals coming to shoot guns and test Marksmanship skills against international competition! As part of this event USS Constitution Museum shipyard workers went onto strike lasting several days which led President Roosevelt to sign Executive Order 9066 cancelling export permits allowing guns made in America without government approval back into our market!! This event is often cited as being one reason why Americans turned against Gun control during the Great Depression!! After WWII ended many Americangunowners decided they wanted their right back so they started buyingback old weapons & ammo from dealers ending any chance anyone ever had at holding onto those historic relics!!! Huge amounts of steel were imported into America during WW2 due to production needed for military hardware & equipment plus lots more was produced domestically but very little ammo came about because too much regulation stopped manufacturers from marketing their products safely overseas!!! Some great examples include Winchester Repeating Arms Company (Winchester) qui cased 12 rounds per minute fps speed loader round used by infantrymen duringWWII & other militaries worldwide that proved impossible (& dangerous)to fire without safety devices like muzzle brakes or flash hiders however law enforcement agencies continued using them unaltered until recently!!!!! Many people know about Winchester Model 70 lever action rifle made famous during WW2 & today featuring beautiful Brunswijk bronze finish etc but few are aware that it actually fired 7 round detachable magazine version OF THE RIFLE USED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS FOR THEIR SMALL AMMUNITION CAPS WITH HIGH POWER Muzzle Brakes!!!!!

Montclair is a small city located in the East Bay of San Francisco, California. The population was 26,859 at the 2010 census. It was founded on December 12, 1847 by George Montclair and his brother John Montclair. The city became an incorporated municipality on January 1, 1951. The city originally consisted of only two blocks: North Main Street and West Main Street. In 1849, George Montclair erected a two-story brick building at what is now Monroe and West Broad Streets to serve as the first municipal hall. On November 11, 1850, the City Council voted to annex part of precincts 2 and 3 in Oakland County for $5 per acre (based on land valuation). On July 4th, 1861, during the American Civil War, General Ulysses S. Grant visited Montclair while traveling from Sacramento through Northern California to join forces with General Etienne Augereau against ConfederateGeneral Robert Ewell at Fort Belknap in Oregon Territory. After visiting Montclair artillery batteries he returned home via waypoint Sonoma Valley before crossing back into California near where he had come ashore moments before. Montclair is a city in Alameda County, California, United States. The population was 9,866 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greater Bay Area and is adjacent to Oakland and Emeryville. The first permanent settlement in Montclair was made on Rancho San Pablo (now Richards Road) by Spanish missionaries in 1776. The name "Montclair" was given to the site by Captain James Cook when he visited the area in 1778 during his exploration of North America. In 1848, Enterprise Iron Works Ltd., founded by John Drysdale, became one of the largest employers in Montclair. In 1875, an aqueduct was built from Mission Creek through Montclair to serve as a water supply for Oakland and Emeryville; this aqueduct remains present-day. On November 14, 1892, Montclair voters passed a measure ratifying incorporation as a city. On December 4th of that year, City officials met with residents to begin preparations for their new municipal government which would include sixteen wards and two mayors who were elected at large with no staggered term limits - this system still exists today within Alameda County laws & regulations! It wasn't until 1912 that street numbers began appearing on blocks withinMontclair – making it easier for residents to find their way around town! From 1916 until 1978 all mail delivered into or out of Montclair was carried instead over Emeryville's existing Telegraph Avenue Railway Line
