Monrovia, California is a small town in the Mojave Desert that was once home to a thriving ammunition industry. The area produced more than 1 million rounds of ammunition per month in the late 1800s and early 1900s, but today only a few scraps of this history remain. Ammunition manufacturers distributed their products throughout much of the Western United States, including Monrovia, until the early 20th century. Today, only a handful of these companies still produce ammunition in Monrovia; all but one operate as businesses within the munitions industry. The history of powder and shot production in Monrovia began with gunshot pistols and rifles developed by Francisco Lopez in 1827. Lopez designed these firearms to fire shot made from lead-based materials such as saltpeter and black powder. The first handguns built in Monrovia were used for hunting rabbits rather than military purposes, but soon enough they became popular among miners and other outdoor enthusiasts. Gunsmiths also developing new ways to reload pistols quickly adapted to this new ammo production method, which led to increased accuracy and efficiency during elections season when large amounts of free ammo were available. During World War II many munitions factories closed due to wartime rationing regulations, but some residents who survived relocated their businesses back into business using recycled materials and techniques learned from previous wars. In 1949 several local firms merged forming what would become Remington Arms Company Limited (RAILROADS). Ammunition production at RAILROADS peaked during World War II with over two million rounds manufactured each month; however since thenproduction has been sporadic at best due to continued technological advances which have rendered most munitions obsolete or unable to be fired reliably anymore

Monrovia is a small city in southern California, located on the main south-central coast of the U.S. state of California. With a population of just over 100,000 residents as of 2010, Monrovia is the sixth most populous city in Los Angeles County and second most populous city in Orange County. The City was founded in 1867 by Mormon settlers who named it Utah Valley after a location in present-day Mexico City that they had visited. It became an incorporated town on July 14, 1875. As part of the first phase of Los Angeles's growth following incorporation, Monrovia saw rapid development including the construction of two large hotels – The Imperial and The Ambassador – which were joined by other businesses and residences until 1930 when World War II interrupted redevelopment efforts. In 1967, Mayor Richard Riordan spearheaded statewide planning for monorail service between downtown Los Angeles and nearby Miracle Mile; this led to significant commercial development along Miracle Mile Boulevard with new office buildings such as One West Hollywood (now known as helipad), Staples Center (now known as StubHub Center), and Regency Village (now known as Lululemon Athletica). In 1990, then–Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa authorized the closure of one street corner in honor of Mexican American war veteran José Huerta; this led to increased African American resident enrollment at schools within walking distance from downtown due to increased access to jobs and resources necessary for entrepreneurship. Today, Monrovia remains an predominately white community with few African Americans living within its boundaries; however, there has been occasional displacement or displacement-related protests targeting specific minority populations since 2009 due to gentrification efforts within the community which have resulted in loss or diminishment of affordable housing opportunities for low-income residents

It entered service on July 14th, 1920.
Monrovia is a small city in the Central Valley of California, south of Fresno and north of Kern County. The population was 46,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno–Madera area. Monrovia is known for its wine production and as an agricultural center. The first permanent settlement in Monrovia was made by Franciscan missionaries in 1849. The city's name honors General John C. Fremont, who fought against Mexican forces during the Mexican-American War and later became president of the United States (1849-1853). After Mexico won its war with Great Britain, America gained control over most of California from Spain, so Monrovia served as one of several American settlements along the San Joaquin River between Sacramento and Stockton. In 1868, Congress authorized relocation of Californios to east Monterey County due to drought conditions there; this group founded Descanso on November 14th that year. In 1880, businessman James Fenton opened a distillery here which he named "Fenton's" in honor of his friend and mentor Jno Ewing Fenton (1786-1863), an early settler in what is now central Fresno County who helped develop irrigation systems for nearby fields. A new town was planned near present day downtown Monrovia but never built because it was too close to other abandoned towns located along Railroad Avenue such as North Hollywood and Maywood which had also been abandoned due to lack of development or profitability when they were new communities
Monrovia was founded by Antonio Montero in 1867, on the banks of the Sacramento River. The town grew quickly, and in 1884 it became an incorporated city. In 1916, Monrovia was renamed after General James Fenton Monocacy, a hero of the Mexican-American War and U.S. First Lieutenant in the California Volunteers. The city motto is "E pluribus unum" (out of many, one).
