Then it went back to Modesto until 1990 when it merged with another gun magazine, Shooting Star which had been published in that city since 1862. That magazine also lasted for 38 years until its closure in 2006. The Gun Magazines Historical Society of America (GMHSA) is an organization that preserves the history of gun magazines in California and nationwide. GMHSA has collected more than 5,000 issues of antique firearms magazines from across the United States since 1978 and publishes an annual newsletter containing news about their collection as well as featuring articles on topics such as how to collect old firearms or handguns. They also host an annual national convention each summer at a different location throughout the U.S.. This past year’s conference took place at the Samuel Adams brewery in Boston where they displayed over 100 vintage firearms from across America along with demonstrations on how to shoot them including muzzleloading guns and shotgun shells fired through time-tested mechanisms like those used by Doc Holliday during the Old West!

A post office was established in 1847 but no permanent buildings were constructed until 1861 when a frame jail was erected on what is now Fourth Street west of Main Street by John Henry Sutter with funds provided by his father-in-law George Copley Eastman. The first school opened in 1861 and taught grades one through twelve; later classes were offered only during summer months until 1914 when they becameater schools serving students from all over central California while still residing at Rancho Sacramento de las Pulgas. In 1902 voters approved annexation to Stanislaus County under then Governor Hiram Johnson who had earlier signed legislation providing for this outcome after seeing that other Central Valley towns had followed suit: Arroyito (1901), Napa (1902), Pleasanton (1903), Colusa (1904) and Yuba City (1905). There were many early pioneers that came to this area during the late 1800s such as George Cripe (1839-1920), Captain John Sutter (1837-1914), Jedediah Smith (1777-1843) and others that helped start small towns throughout Northern California like Dixonville and Milpitas which then grew into large communities with their own schools, churches, stores etc... After World War II people moved back into these towns as agriculture became more popular due to new technology advances like irrigation systems being developed.. In 1957 Modesto became a city when it annexed part of Rancho Cordova fromuled Sacramento County - becoming one of only two municipalities in California to be annexed without a vote by citizens! Today there are over 60 businesses within walking distance of each other making Modesto an incredibly vibrant community with strong economic ties to surrounding rural areas!

In 1876, it was renamed Modesto and incorporation took place. The city had an estimated population of 100,000 in 1880 but only 30,000 residents by 1910. Modesto experienced a rapid growth from the early 1920s until World War II when the population dwindled to 20,000 due to declines in ranching and industry. The postwar years were characterized by a steady increase in population until the late 1960s when it began a slow decline which has continued to this day.
