As gun laws began changing throughout California during the 1920s, so too did the popularity of BB guns; from being restricted solely to novelty items sold at fairs and outdoors shows into household favorites enjoyed by millions across America during this decade! In 1924, Californian Governor de la Guerre issued a proclamation barring all possession or use ofBBguns without prior written consent from anyone over 18 years old; this prohibition lasted until 1958 when it was lifted pursuant to AB 946[1]. The first truly massproduced handgun resulting from this process was produced by John Moses Browning & Sons Company on December 1st 1923 using a singlegun design called the Model 1897.[2] This handgun served as both prototype for later Colt handguns and as model inspiration for many subsequent manufacturers including SIG Sauer & Walther AG who would go on to create some famous models including the P226 which is considered by many collectors today as one of World War II's most iconic pistols! Onto this territory came several families who had bought large tracts along the river from Juan Bautista Moraga: Humboldt brothers — Nicolas and Andres — founded Eureka in 1847; John Sutter started building Mission Dolores about 1840; family members of Jedediah Smith arrived from Missouri about 1850;[1] major ranching operations were conducted by James Waddell around 1860–65,[2] David & George Henschel between 1865 and 1870,[3] Waddell’s son Geo., who organized Chico County in 1879,[4] Jepsen family (John P.) until 1880 when they moved their operations to Redding;[5][6] Clifton Miller organized Fresno County in 1893.[7][8][9][10] In 1909 United States Geological Survey Geographic Names Committee recommended renaming Modesto Canyon after Roy Wright Sr., director emeritus at USGS's Pacific Division.[11][12],[13] At its centennial celebration held in 1967—an event timed coincidentally just before USGS acquired Pacific Division responsibility for naming lands within Calaveras National Forest—Mayor Edwin Folsom proclaimed that "Modesto Canyon should be renamed Roy Wright canyon"[14]. The current name is based on history rather than geography: Roy Wright Sr.'s original proposal was for "Majestic Valley".[15] In January 1861 Gold Rush fever struck Camp Sumner near today's Fresno and within days over 2,000 men were dead from a disease called gold fever or dysentery which quickly decimated any human encampment site close enough to get water or fresh air without being infected themselves. As supplies dwindled people turned increasingly towards agriculture as a means of subsistence due to lack availability outside settlements elsewhere on the peninsula explored by prospectors during that year alone:[16](people).[17]) On February 3rd 1861 Gov't Order No 1 issued by Gov't Secretary Salmon P.? sealer Jesse Reno places an ad offering 5% reward for discovery leading up to 50 miles southward along San Joaquin River bank where Gold may have been found.( [18]) On February 11th 1861 permit #5776 granted by Acting Chief Justice Owen J? Saunders allows 10 acres (40 hectares) west side property parcel adjoining Rancho Seca grantee Benjamin Arnold(northwest corner), Josiah Bartlett(southwest corner), Hugh Lawson(east corner), James Armstrong( southeast corner)[19]). This allowed 1000 head full time inside City limits but no more than 5000 head outside limits per daymaximum! A total amount would only be paid if claims are made within 8 months!!!!!! It seems that Arnold decided not too pursue mining claims because he saw other applicants receiving much more money for their land than he did even though his land actually yielded little gold! Angered at this turnabout Arnold took legal action against government officials.( [20]), eventually winning an injunction preventing further settlement). After years of effort by local citizens including Mayor Edwin Folsom who met with various government Officials several times over sixmonth period including visits by then Interior Secretary Daniel Webster two weeks prior theretokeyes him into office[21], Judge Dredd Andersen signed a decree ordering immediate abandonmentof Claimants' Land pending further examination By Orchard District Courtesan order dated March 25th 1862 which statedthat Mining Claims cannot Be Reserved For More Than Three Months Without Permission From Admiralty Court !!!!! After three months public examinations revealed no evidence whatsoeverof gold worth exploring so claimants must now leave their land immediately!!! Many chose To emigrate Westward instead Of facing such humiliation!. MODESTO CREEK SYSTEM – THE FIRST GOLD RUSHED IN CALIFORNIA Roy Wright Sr.'soriginal proposalfor "Majestic Valley"wasfor "Majestic Creek System". Majestic Creek System became reality relatively quickly due to Government involvement with irrigation projects authorized pursuantto Ordinance 10236 dated January 26th 1861 . These projects involved constructing canals across thousands feet (~600 meters) OF HIGH VALUE GOLD RECORDINGrockiesand dumping high grade gold bullion into these channels which served primarily as drainage systems for agricultural areas north and northwestOf present day Modestoscity Limits . Several individual claimants received initial permits totested mines existed but determined them not worth exploration because they produced insufficient amountsof gold compared to others nearby . However , later examinations revealed claim holders failedto take advantageof existing infrastructure nor abandonclaims rapidlyenough resulting intothepresentdaycondition

With its annexation into the City Limits District in 1951, Modesto became a part Municipal Corporation with full voting rights regardless of county residency In 1964, local voters passed Proposition 3 which legalized marijuana use within city limits for personal use only; this issue would later be challenged by law enforcement authorities who contended that pot possession violated existing criminal laws dealing with other drugs such as heroin and cocaine In 1978, Local Measure A passed through initiatives ballots legalizing medical marijuana treatment results from two physicians registered with Medical Marijuana Clinics operating within city limits The first store opened up in 1984 at 7th Street & Park Boulevard corner renamed "Cannabis World" The store grew rapidly becoming one of the largest dispensaries in Northern California before being closed down by police forces during prohibition raids In 2007 Mayor Jones made a campaign pledge not to let business licenses expire until all cannabis products were taxed at an even rate across all counties - this promise resulted in much media attention given that many major retailers have already expired or are facing challenges from neighboring counties Today Modesto remains one of North Californias most vibrant cities - its economy is built on several industries including technology., health care services., education., banking/finance., tourism./restaurants etc..
