They named this site Fort Hennepin after their captain’s father who had played a critical role in helping them build it – though most people today believe its original name was Castle Rock (later renamed Fort Baden). This small fort served them until 1862 when Colonel Edwin Drake's 8th Infantry Regiment traveled downriver past them and discovered gold fields nearby so they abandoned the fort and moved onto other sites within central California beyond reach of hostile Indians again. In 1865 Captain James Wickersham led another detachment across country to investigate some new goldfields north of San Francisco but soon realized these areas were also rich in silver so he withdrew his unit back home to form again Major Wickersham's volunteer battalion which continued exploring until 1868 when they finally returned to Sacramento after finding no more gold or silver over any considerable distance eastward - thus ending regular military operations around here except for occasional border skirmishes with local Apache tribes which continued intermittently into today’s day

The original population of Huangshan Township may have been around 15-20 thousand people with only a few hundred houses while the new town grew quickly to over 100 thousand people within 5 years! Today there are still quite a few villagers living inmodestoannexed communities like Sunnyvale and East Palo Alto while many others have moved away or died during the past 50+ years. On October 17th1893 two men – Orson Scott Cardenbach and Hiram Maxim – founded what would become known as Delta Mines Company Limited out ofModestO City Limits on 161 acres southeast of downtown where they prospected for gold and silver mines that would be situated near present day Delta Junction Road/State Route 207 just outsideof today's Southern Sammamish Valley Unified School District boundary
