In 1925, HII merged with two other companies – Western Electric Company and Philco Corporation – to form General Electric Company. This merger made GE one of the largest corporations in America.GE continued to grow rapidly during this time period. In 1933, GE purchased Monsanto Company for $33 million dollars. This purchase made GE one of the leading agricultural manufacturers in America. During World War II, GE played a significant role in helping make America wartime safe by producing munitions and aircraft parts.GE also played an integral role in creating military technology such as jet engines and radar systems. After the war ended, GE experienced several growth periods throughout the years; however, it always maintained its position as one of America’s leading companies
Mission Viejo, California is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 714 at the 2010 census. It was founded on September 26, 1847 by Father José de la Peña y Ortega as Rancho San Antonio de los Padres missions for the Catholic Church. The Spanish name Mission Viejo means "the place of conversion." The city grew quickly during the 1880s when new streetcar lines and other transportation methods made it easy to reach from downtown Los Angeles. By 1901, Mission Viejo had a population of 1,500 and became an industrial center with shipbuilding and other businesses. However, during World War II many factories closed due to the high demand for war materials across Southern California. In recent years Mission Viejo has seen dramatic growth as a bedroom community for Los Angeles with high-rise developments added to its mix of single-family homes and condos along with large shopping malls and restaurants. One of the most visible aspects of this growth is the development of Caltrain which provides rapid rail service into downtown LA without having to wait long periods for trains to come back out again.

Mission Viejo was founded on October 24, 1797 by Father José de Urquiza as the first of a series of missions in California. The original mission was called San Antonio de Padua and it stood on land that is now known as Mission Viejo. In 1821, the Mexican government transferred ownership of the mission to the Franciscan order and renamed it Santa Clara de la Antigua Concepción. In 1846, part of Santa Clara County was annexed into California, creating an even more diverse area with multiple missions and churches located throughout the county. In 1856, when Missions Concepcion (founded in 1797) and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores (founded in 1824) were combined to form what is now Mission Viejo, Father José García decided to make his new mission a religious center for all people in this new county. The church was dedicated on September 7, 1861 by Bishop Carlos Gomez y Margarita. The population of Mission Viejo grew rapidly during its early years; however, there were some limited challenges posed by the location on a key strategic road near Mexico City and other external threats such as bandits who plunder goods transported through nearby Rancho San Buenavista. Despite these challenges, Father José García always insisted that his community be open to all regardless of social or economic status. In 1928-29 architect John Neumann designed two large additions to the original mission complex: one included a library/gymnasium/conference room which still serves as school auditorium today; and another larger addition contained classrooms/apartments for lay missionaries and their families as well as our Lady Chapel which became home to Our Lady Of La Purificación Parish after that parish was created from parts of Rancho San Fernando Presidio in 1929). In 1948-49 additional classrooms were added beneath both existing roofs providing space for over 1,800 students including many future missionaries like Rolando Reyes who would later become our Archbishop here at Mission Viejo Cathedral! Today’s elementary schools are built on top of older buildings within Mission Viejo Historical Park while high school classes are conducted inside Rolling Hills High School – one block away from whereFather José’s vision began!
Mission Viejo is located in southern California on the eastern edge of San Diego County. It was founded by Franciscan missionaries in 1769, and became a mission town after it was established. The town grew rapidly during the 19th century, and due to its location at the base of a major mountain range, Mission Viejo became known as one of the most important religious centers in Southern California.
