A year later white sold his interest in the company to another miner named Charles Fenton who renamed it 'Fenton & Sons'. From this initial effort several other companies were formed including 'Masonic Bros', 'Giraldi Bros' (later Giraldi Minerals), 'White Exploration Company' (later White Mining), etc., each working their own section within the main vein but all sharing a common goal: getting rich quick by finding valuable minerals near Claremont Place ().
