It seems like things got pretty rough around here… By 1902 however things had improved somewhat as WinchesterAmmunition Corporation reopened its file withCalifornia Secretaryof State complainingthat : “We have lately learned through adverse reports receivedby us that certain arms dealers throughout this state have been selling Winchester Ammo directto your citizens without any reference whatsoever to our company or its agents….we believe our reputation should not be injured unnecessarilyby such practices”?! But unfortunately for Winchester Ammunition CorporationsTrouble continued apace as soon as 1907when another ammo supplier named US PowderCooperated WithCaliber Arms AmmunitionCo.,Inc., Which Had Been Previously Problematic? And Just What Was Wrong With USPowder? Apparently There Were Some Defects In The Barrels Of Their BulletsWhich Made Them perform Poorly When Fired From Guns?
